Tell me about it. I recently upgraded from athlon x2 5000+ to an i5-2500k and it's like I traveled into the future.

The new i3/i5/i7's are sooo worth every penny.
I recently bought a regular xbox 360 usb controller (NOT the "for windows" version) and it works just fine out of the clamshell. My win7 x64 installed the driver automatically and it works in every modern game I've tried. Skyrim, gta4 and more.
Yeah it just takes an extra step so people seem to be trying to do it from the inventory menu then giving up. Just remember to add a weapon or spell to your favorites menu (default 'f' on keyboard) then you can assign the hotkey from the favorites menu itself (default 'c' on keyboard), not the inventory.

That extra step seems to be what's preventing people from finding the feature easily.
There are hot-keys. After adding a spell/weapon to the favorites menu you can assign the number desired while selecting it.
I couldn't disagree more with the choice of controller. The interface is navigated much more quickly with a combo of the keyboard+mouse than my 360 controller for windows. WASD+ E and Tab combined with the mouse allows for efficient and fast UI navigation.

It sounds like you prefer the controller over the keyboard cause you're more comfortable with it, Kirk, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'll always prefer the keyboard and mouse precisely for it's precision.

Hotkeys for the keyboard can be assigned by simply bringing up your favorites menu and pressing the keyboard number desired whilst the weapon or spell is selected. This is one of the most complained about "features" that supposedly isn't in the game but actually is.
Whoa, I dodged a bullet I guess (heh). The last place I lived had U-verse, now I'm on time warner cable. The beta worked fine.

Sorry it's messed up for you =/
He's also making the webbing himself this time with... SCIENCE!

To be fair, he is relatively brilliant for his age already so, presumably he's capable of finding a way to fund his suit/webbing legitimately and legally. Either that or he's stealing nano-polymers from some university lab somewhere.
"But you can't have 4 people play with 2 xboxes." Aww damn.
Yeah I'm pretty sure one of the previous kotaku posts said they're adding split-screen co-op online. So you could do up to 4 players together with 2 xbox's.
The argonians got a ton of detail. It makes them look both more beautiful and scarier than ever.
Thanks. Good to hear some specific reasons.

Uncharted series, Demon Souls, Infamous series, Red Dead Redemption (if you don't have 360).

That's the top of my personal wishlist if/when I get a ps3.
What about Mass Effect 2 disappointed you? Everyone I heard from said it was better than the first.
Don't worry it's just nitpicking mostly about atmospheric stuff and illogical/ironic limitations. Mike actually liked the game and didn't complain about combat mechanics or story or anything.
Helps if you open it in a new window by middle-clicking or ctrl+left clicking.
Sadly, mediocre is a step up from the average super-hero game and a huge step up from the average movie-tie-in game.
Hmm, well... therein lies the problem. That same question is brought up every time this issue arises. Of course they try to enact policies to limit spending, make cuts and generally try to balance the budget and hopefully reduce the debt.

From the article: "The plan, according to a top Senate Democratic aide, is to wait until both chambers vote on the cap, cut and balance measure..."

So yes, that's "the plan." Has it ever worked in the past? It doesn't seem so. I think the real question is, why doesn't our government work without ever-increasing amounts of borrowed money? All these other issues are just symptoms of the real problem that won't go away until the source is dealt with. In other words, probably never.
Not sure if I completely understand your question either but, if you're asking whether the new debt ceiling will go into effect immediately? Yes, it will.

They have until August 3rd to raise it before we'd start seeing any ramifications of hitting the debt ceiling. For example; paychecks not being given to government employees, social security and disability benefits, etc...

Rest assured, if and when the debt ceiling is raised before August 3rd there will be no interruption. This has happened before without an interruption to government payouts so, this is not unprecedented by any means. I think in the past actually, they've taken an extra day or two to hammer out the specifics but that's the longest I know of. Certainly not years.
There's nothing inherently dangerous about eating even completely raw eggs. Only eggs that have been contaminated with dangerous bacteria from the outside, that soaks in through the shell, are potentially dangerous.

In addition, I think if the egg reaches ~170 degrees you should be safe anyway. Since boiling water is ~212 degrees you should be fine just pouring that right on top :)
