All I'm going to say is that I hope EA learned their lesson from the job they did on the PS3 port of The Orange Box.

I'll be waiting on reviews before I'd purchase this.

@VixDiesel: Careful, I think I got banned for joking about Tubby's weight. Of course no one told me what I was banned for, so it's just a wild guess on my part. :D
I think my "Surprise" reaction is missing. No, it's still there... Guess I just saw this one coming. Oh well, I'll play it all on PC.
I played the demo for both the PS3 and 360. I decided to pick up the PS3 version because I felt it played a bit smoother. Glad I did, no glitches on either playthrough. Seems like the 360 got the shaft on this one. Too bad.

Regarding how I feel about the game, I like it overall. Worth the purchase in my mind, even with some annoying issues with targeting. The game is nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. Unless you're a Star Wars fan, I'd suggest a rental before a purchase.

I'm glad to have done my part to support Lucasarts on this one.

I see a whole lot of people missing the point. But hey, it's easy and fun to hate on people because deep down, you're really just jealous. Admit it. ;)
How long until some misguided news outlet proclaims this as a real game, promoting and teaching torture and killing?

Whatever. Slice away! Or is it srice aray! I forget.

@[ZTF]: You, good sir are a moron. You're also quite ignorant of my views to boot. My comment was directed against those that do nothing more than rage against whatever's popular at the time because their buddies are doing it. Microsoft, the elected Gov't, GameStop, EA.... see a pattern?

I've never told anyone to sit back and take a fat rod in the hindquarters. Quite the opposite, in fact. If you're dissatisfied with a company, then vote with your dollars and stop crying. People are playing the "victim" card, but they're nothing more than victims of their own stupidity and laziness.

Until people take charge of the situation and hold the "offending" company liable for the perceived wrongdoings, they have no right to complain. I never trade anything in. You know why? I only buy games that are worth buying and holding on to in the first place.

BTW, sheepily is not used in the correct context, and WTF are you talking about "accepting the policies of a parasitic country or voicing outcry against it?" STFU. Also, you might want to brush up on the definition of hypocrisy. Really. You're looking like an idiot. Bye newbsawce.

@PATSCRU: Thank God someone else sees all this blathering for what it is - following the damn crowd. It's pretty bad when I read through comments regarding GameStop and after a short while I stop hearing the message the people are sending, and instead hear the bleating of sheep.

"Baaaaa! Baaaaa!"

Damn people, cut it out. Get a thought process of your own, already!

Oy, when are game companies going to hire game-savvy people to work in essential positions like event organizers?

Worth a giggle though.

@eclipsegryph: Agreed 100%. To add to your observations, shoehorning in a multiplayer mode to a game that has no business having such a mode is just a waste of resources that could have gone towards polishing the single player game.

Too many games wind up being jacks of all trades, masters of none.

Good work, guys. (And gals.)
Personally I want a game to elicit an emotional response. Shooting an enemy that doesn't bleed or scream when shot is what produces an emotionally-detatched response to the act.

The kill doesn't need to be followed by buckets of blood to evoke a response, but the fact that kills are hardly ever clean and quick, THAT is what needs to be implemented to evoke a response. What bothered me for the first time in an FPS was in the original CoD when you'd engage an enemy, take him down and they'd continue struggling, or would turn their weapon on you while in their death throes.

Makes you think about how you have to ensure they're dead, or they'll put a bullet in your back if you don't. If games make me have to make tough decisions, ones with ramifications, THAT's what makes me sit back during the end credits and say "My God, what a great game."

Sandbox games. That's it.
Sweet, he made a "Street Gear" version of Jecht.
Why did THQ waste their resources just to put the spotlight back on something they should be ashamed of? Just wondering...
@XbhaskarX: Oh my GOD! It's a BLOG! GET LAID! *shakes his head in disgust*
Maybe my standards are a bit high, but I'd think that a memo from a hug corporation would probably have better formatting than that... (bullets and misplaced doublespacing, I'm looking at you.)
Some people just cannot stop gnashing their teeth long enough to grasp the basics of business. If we don't have companies that provide competition in the game sales market, do you know what's going to happen?

Big box stores like Best Buy and Circuit City will continue to sell the same 2 year old game for the same $60 price point, with no drops. Do you guys and gals not remember that? Of course not. Before the used game market came around, most of you weren't even getting an allowance.

I for one welcome our new used-game overlords, and shun the heretics of digitally distributed games. With talk of caps on internet use, and the lack of storage space on current consoles (really, who's going to DL something like MGS4? With a 4GB cap per month, it would take a year to DL without going over the cap!) digitally distributed games are a nice idea in concept, but ultimately doomed to fail as long as companies can get their hands on your money.

Guess what! With download caps we'll go from paying GameStop money for distributing games, to paying our ISPs! To add insult to injury, what if you want to play a game that you're not currently storing on your system, but your connection is down? Or the destribution server is down? Or one of many OTHER possible scenarios that could get between you and your game content? Stop and chew on that thought for a while.

OK, I'm done rambling.

The Kotaku effect is in full swing. That site is hurting. :D
Hah, I don't see anything suggestive in that whole trailer. Way to throw "lolita" in with the girls/animals/pictures thing. Gives people the wrong impression.

Reminds me a lot of Azumanga Daioh (sp?).
