It's awfully hard to type efficiently without a physical keyboard. And it's awfully hard to code without being able to type efficiently. And it's awfully hard to MAKE THE FUCKING TABLET APPS without being able to code.
Sorry, but desktop computers (including laptops) aren't going anywhere for a long time. Replaced mostly by laptops, perhaps. But its not shifting to 100% tablets any time soon.

@das7002: GPL doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with it, in fact its one of the more strict open source licenses out there which requires you open-source any programs which utilizes GPL'd code under the GPL (or lesser) license and as usual you need to stick the GPL license in your distribution somewhere and a host of other restrictions.
If you're developing for a proprietary system (consoles, anything which requires you to sign an NDA to have access to the API really) they FORBID you from using GPL code because of this restriction (open sourcing your project violates the NDA because you use proprietary APIs).
Hence google very easily could have violated the GPL license by not open sourcing EVERYTHING (or not requiring all manufacturer-specific mods like motoblur or htc sense to also be open source), forgetting to put in a license notification, or a host of other mistakes.
