That's something ignorant journalists have made up! Nintendo wants Wii to be the console for everyone - and that includes grown adults who like their entertainment raw and bloody.

Why can't people stop thinking of a videogame as a child's toy and instead look at it respectfully as another form of media, like books and films? Are all films made with children in mind? Absolutely not. So why should videogames be any different? Is the concept of games for older persons really that inconceivable?

The kind of persons who buy this game obviously know that it's a work of fiction - COMPLETELY detached from reality - created simply to entertain. It is not telling us that we should go out on the streets and mutilate people. All it does is give us the opportunity to simulate actions and events that would be completely unacceptable for us in real life. It's my belief that if a frequent gamer carries out a murder, it wasn't the games that made him/her do it. That person was already messed up in the head to begin with, the game simply helped satisfy their destructive appetite until the murderer had gathered enough courage and motivation to go through with it.

Videogames are nothing but a harmless thrill. Anyone who sees more beyond that is overanalyzing it.

I just don't see why people feel so funny playing with a steering wheel that's not attached to anything. It's not that weird, really. Once you find a comfortable way of holding it you won't even think about it. Just DON'T hold it high up in mid-air, cause then you're doing it wrong and will definitely be feeling it in your arms later.

The accessory is included free. They're not forcing you to use it, so give 'em a break. However, I was under the impression that we all bought the Wii so we could try out some NEW ways of controlling games?
