<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on No Known Survivors Takes Dead Space's Narrative To The Web]]> Aww man, I wanted them to continue following Misplaced Affection. I wanted to see a mixed up Greggs/Gauthier monster start roaming around. Would've been an awesome opportunity to get to know some of the baddies of the game.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Study Finds Racial Bias Common In Virtual Worlds]]> I think there are too many variables for this to really mean anything on a practical level.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Saturday Timewaster: Aether]]> Aww, that wasn't bad at all. I wouldn't say it's pretentious, except for the ending. It was a pretty cute game though.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Music, Can You Make It?!]]> Flute, and several related instruments, like the recorder, ocarina and tin whistle. Also some concert percussion, like the marimba. I do ok with a harmonica and an oboe as well.

Flute is my main instrument though.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on The Economy of Happiness: What's a Game Worth to You?]]> Twenty bucks. I won't pay more than that for a game unless it's a gift for another person or I just can't wait for the price to go down.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Lowe's Driver Caught With Hand In The Hooker Jar]]> If anyone else just walked up to a commercial vehicle and tried/succeeded at swinging open any of the doors on it that'd be considered breaking/entering.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Nickelodeon Rolls Out Avatar MMO]]> Death Note, where you have to take steps to protect your name so that others with the Death Note can't kill you.

You can receive a Death Note and attack law enforcement, corrupt businessman, criminals, or take the chaotic route and just kill whoever happens to get on your bad side that day.

You can also choose to take the role of law enforcement, tracking down those with Death Notes using clues they leave behind. Or just guessing and clicking everyone to put them in jail for insane interrogation.

Waterboarding is optional.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Sonic Unleashed: Half Classic, Half Stretchy Werewolf]]> Mario's not really what it was in the original franchise either. God forbid a company try to do something different.

That having been said, a were-hog is still fucking stupid.

I'm still gonna buy it though, no questions asked.

That was a joke, right? ...Right?!

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on WASP Knife Will Freeze and Blow Up Your Organs]]> This should totally be a Spy weapon in Team Fortress 2. Not only will you get backstabbed, but you'll explode as well!

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Understanding Free to Play]]> Free to Play works because there will always be morons who will pay extra money to make their avatar look good. And then they'll do it again later when the stuff they bought expires.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on The Consoles of Our Ancestors]]> @MasterJoefus:

Butt nekkid, in twenty feet of snow, with bears. And when you finally got home you got a beating for being late and were sent to bed without supper. And you'd like it that way!

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Nexon's Sugar Rush Arena in Closed Beta]]> They call it Sugar Rush Arena because only children hopped up on candy would actually be interested in this crap.

]]>
<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Teenage Boy Hacks, Steals for Princess Dress]]> Punishment for the crime should include publicizing it across the world. He wouldn't be able to travel anywhere without getting his ass kicked or getting laughed at.

Life long humiliation is a great crime prevention tool.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Powerpoint By Pissed Comcast Employee Reveals They Know Exactly How Much They Suck]]> I got news for you guys. Or should I say I don't, since it's what we all should expect by now. Every call center deals with these same issues. What company the center is under contract for doesn't matter. I've been with several and known others who were with several more, and it's all the same story.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Sonic Unleashed Looks Too Good To Be True]]> I don't get it. I see SA 1&2 with better graphics and camera angles that actually seem to work. But everyone's always bitched about SA 1&2...I don't think you guys know what you want anymore.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on What Game Genre Leaves You Cold, Oh So Very Cold?]]> Sims, FPSs, sports. I'd include violent games, but I like the GTA series. Anything involving actual wars, despite the fact that I'll play a WWII flight sim every loooong once in a while.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Why First and Third Person Shooters Are Not Popular In Japan]]> @ratix240sx:
You made me grin. So very true.

]]>
<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Why First and Third Person Shooters Are Not Popular In Japan]]> The probably don't like them for a lot of the same reasons I don't. If you're interested- or even used to- character or plot-driven games, than a simple shoot-em-up can seem boring in comparison. Of course there are some FPS games that can be very elaborate.

I know a lot of folks who also don't like them because they're not big fans of violent games. And when I say violent, I'm talking about the people who- for some reason- are particularly adverse to putting bullet holes in something, instead of just slashing it up with a super epic special attack in an RPG.

Being worried because you're a beginner is lame though. Everybody is new at a game at some point or another. I have a hard time getting my family and friends to understand that point, as well.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Wii Fit Frightens, Confuses Anderson Cooper]]> Wow. I would've thought Mr. Cooper would've been a little quicker on the ball (or maybe board) than that. I bet she had a blast, humiliating him on-air like that. Pretty cool.

<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on What Are Your Game Buy Regrets?]]> Smash Bros. Brawl. Not because I don't like the game, but because I'm particularly low on cash and the $60 bucks spent could've gone towards gas and food. I rarely regret choosing games over food and shelter, but I haven't played SSBB enough to make the choice worth it.

Second place is a tie between DDR: Mario Mix and Sonic Riders.

]]>
<![CDATA[StickyPurpleCat commented on Wii Fit: Innovation in Gaming or Marketing?]]> I had to leave my Wii at my mom's house because she liked it so much. Now she takes turns playing Link's Crossbow Training with her boyfriend and my two younger siblings. My dad really liked the game too. Wii Sports bowling seems to be more a hit at parties though, but it seems no matter where I take it, the novelty of the console is enough to get anyone interested.
