You guys are missing my point and over reacting COMPLETELY. They're trying to compete with current gen systems half way through the current gen's lifespan. On top of that, they used footage from the PS3 and 360 at their press conference. They haven't released any internal specs so as of right now, they just have a system where people say: "What the fuck is this capable of exactly?". All we've got are rumors on how powerful it is and nothing definitive. As far as their exclusive franchises go, they aren't ones that I enjoy for any extensive amount of time like I can on my 360. Everyone has their own preferences so stop getting butthurt.
Any multi-billion dollar multimedia company who has a large portion of their revenue generated from online video games should ALWAYS have a team of actual experts that can combat hackers or at least create a good security system. Sure it costs money to keep them around but the amount it takes to do that is minuscule compared to the amount that has been lost over this fiasco.
All I'm saying is that the topic title can mislead people. I'm not trying to be an ass about it. They're saying one thing in the article but the title says another. That's all.
"New Nintendo Console Debuting At E3 This June, Launching In 2012, More Powerful Than Xbox 360 and PS3"
"There are conflicting reports, however, as to whether its graphics will be comparable to those on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – meaning it could surpass or fall short of those systems."
Which part of that says it's for sure going to be more powerful than the 360 and PS3? Shame on you Stephen!
