<![CDATA[Comments from Fyren]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Fyren]]> <![CDATA[Fyren commented on Defining Plagiarism in Video Games]]> I just say evolution of the respective genres. There are rules set in stones when developing games, it just gets innovated and evolved over time. We get bombarded with the bits everyday and everyone just became immune to it over the decades. It will always be an interactive medium to modify psychosis and there are tried and true formulas that grabs the users and is also marketable.

Unless you blatantly...you know... made Titanic 1912 RPG.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Which Game Do You Want Remade?]]> You guys do know they are incubating Chrono Trigger for the next leap in technology.

They aren't going to waste time making a crappy remake for puny GPUs, they will wait till we are in the age of holographic interface then come out with a whammy. In the end, CT will be the only game that really mattered for Squaresoftrip in history.

Yea...

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on No South Park Rock Band Tracks After All]]> Don't be a Jew. Major weaksauce.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on The Conduit: About Damn Time]]> @Blackspirit: Then whats the point of the nunchuck and the wiimote?.

Even HL1 had multiple hitbox with the right physical reactions. This trailer looks like your shooting at a range with stationary 2D targets.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Dead Space: Glimpses of Outer Space Carnage]]> Wow, wall of Shader coming.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on The Conduit: About Damn Time]]> Cmon now. Where is the havok?.

There seems to be no hit-box for any of the npcs.

How are you going to have a interactive fps game without per-pixel hit detection?.

If I want to blow out a kneecap, I want to point at it and shoot it.

Even Soldiers of Fortune II had much better feel for hitting body gibs.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Hands-On Impressions]]> Did they add any more particle or anything to the water?.

I remember the alpha build last time, but it was just irritating to the eye; it looks and interacts as if it was straight from Morrowind.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Is it time to hate Ubisoft]]> Well there is a market for it, Ubisoft would not be pumping these games out if it didn't sell.

Ubisoft stalled the last few years, not sales wise, on any kind of innovation and gameplay.

Ass. Creed was just a 60 dollar coaster. I bet there is quite a few people who didn't even bother loading this game on the tray twice. The last somewhat fun game was R6 vegas and probably the last impressionable game was Chaos Theory.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Blow $135,000 On This Bogus, Crystal PS3]]> If you look at the seller's history and the items that he has sold; its extremely sketchy.

One was for a Mont Blanc pen without box, without certification, dried ink, and it still sold for 120 dollars or so. His most recent item was a pair of designer shades that he cut the price of about 90% because it was "used".

I don't know, on top of that, this listing is "commissioned" work. You pay another man to buy Swarovski, and glitter it up in a ps3.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Requiem: Bloodymare Enters Open Beta]]> G-A-R-B-A-G-E.

Take your lady out for the night if AoC is in your horizon.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Australia And Friends Added To Warhammer Online Launch]]> @Leobebes: Did you see the reduced rubble that man has become?. Uwe was manhandling him for the promotional videos. Its atrocious. At least he was getting paid during his Mini-me days.

I eagerly await WAR. DAOC was probably the only MMO where I got caught up in PvP.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Georgia Pretties Itself Up For Game Developers]]> ATL has it all. Crack-friends to the Vegas-lite life.

Probably the best tax cut besides tax exemptions.

I see Blizzievision opening a brand new spanking studio in GA.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Sony's Gamer's Day Kicks Off]]> Staying tuned.

I await the glorious news.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Itagaki Is Focused on "Movement" and "Animation"]]> @Antiterra: I am talking mostly about gameplay. A fresh perspective, maybe more in your face gritty WWII without boundaries kind of gameplay. This man does have melee combat in his pocket.

I am not looking for Operation Darkness, just a different lens of the same setting.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Metallic Rose DS Gets Superstar Launch]]> @Arttemis: Thats exactly the point. There should not be any more releases of the Zelda edition.

There is a reason its a collector's. I wouldn't want tens of thousands of the item being circulated every 6 months.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Golden Axe: Beast Rider First Look]]> There is no need for an argument. I seriously question a Golden Axe game that misses three key components.

Coop Dwarf, super saiyan pot powers and the campfire minigame.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood Hands-On]]> Yea, I am definitely keen to this title. I just hope it isn't too dialogue heavy; coming from Bioware and all.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Itagaki Is Focused on "Movement" and "Animation"]]> Yea, I would love this man's perspective in a Western-themed games. It could be breath of fresh air in the ongoing stale of looking down the sights.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Expert Says Children Should Be Banned From Wii Fit]]> Just establish a healthy eating habit and stop eating Mcdees or the King, there is a reason Eastern/Asian countries have significantly lower deaths related to obesity. I know my guardians chastized me for ditching the "Mother's meal" and grabbing a quickie; I tend to stay away from fast foods.

It doesn't help when fast food restaurants have health-awareness programs; it makes no sense. Alcohol and Tobbacco kills over 200 thousand people per year but its legal, I don't know how to make rum or cultivate tobbacco; do you?.

Are kids stepping backwards?, By the time your kid understands the concept of videogaming; he/she should already be having a healthy diet.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Dan Ackroyd Is The Wind Beneath The Ghostbusters Game's Wings]]> @BtownDesignGuy: Like I've said before, Spielberg's Boom Blox does not count. I strongly believe he just tacked his name on there and threw character concepts that were in his bin. The game did not utilize any of Spielbergs technical skill on visual presentation.

Something similar to Post-Mcgee.

I hope this game delivers just for Ackroyd's sake. It has been awhile since I've seen Ackroyd so fired up.

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Postal Opening On Four Screens (Yes, FOUR)]]> Doesn't he get a huge tax break if the film does not profit?. He only pays tax when his movies starts to turn profit yes?.

So why wouldn't these investors take a chance when there is miniscule loss with a potential return. Of course, I am sure they will rethink twice after learning of the horrendous opening.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Oh Dear...Sega Fans...]]> He should have left out the SEGA logo. Just those four letters puts a haze between art and a walking PR.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Postal Opening On Four Screens (Yes, FOUR)]]> Just for shits and giggles, I would love to see a Uwe's movie do 400 million.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Postal Opening On Four Screens (Yes, FOUR)]]> CNN called him a terriorist, or one of the guests did during air yesterday.

It seems like this movie begins with Uwe's film paroding 9/11 in a hardcore wtf-were-you-thinking-shooting that scene kind of way.

Meh, maybe this will slowly allow him to reflect what he has been doing and seriously consider going to a technical school and learn a trade before he gets old.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on DJ Green Lantern Releasing "Liberty City Invasion" GTA IV Album]]> No Papoose? cannot compute. I am really glad Houser at least did some homework. Then again, some of the featured artists on that list is probably looking for work; Crack?!.

Yes, I do agree that San Juan sounds are the best!; being raised from southside LBC and all. Nothing like "Today was a good day" blasting from a videogame. I didn't have to look too far to find a lowrider as a child, just had to peek out the window.

Orchestrated Synths and low-heavy bass...mmmmMM. Vice city is close, but San Juan sounds were part of my life.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on EA Sports: It's (Not) In The (Baseball) Game]]> They are scrambling about. EA probably thought they would be popping bottles with TT by now.

It matters not, the only baseball game that ever mattered to me was the High Heat franchise.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Konami Announces "Rock Revolution"]]> It is just sad that they wildly flapping about.

I just don't understand why they couldn't capitilize on consoles earlier.

If I sat in a room with the original xbox live in its infancy, actual Freak and Mania equipments, excellent understanding of integrating music with the videogame medium, and an avid fan of music across all genres; it doesn't not take a nuclear scientist to you know, mash it up.

I have bet every single adult here have unconsciously bobbed their heads, sang in the showers, and air guitar'ed once in their life; thats what Konami was aiming for with thier cabinets, I do not know why no one in their R&D/Dev team followed through with it.

Konami was in its glory 5 years ago, it had the funding to venture into the now Harmonix/Acti market.

Capcom took a stab with a $200 game, only 2000 were made but it was a hit. Konami could have easily gotten a Q&A of the same size just for giggles.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Talking To The DBZ: Burst Limit Demo]]> Did they censor it?. If I remember the manga correctly, there should be a giant hole instead of goku's stomach.

"Dr Pepper...yea, Dr. Pepper"

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on The International Pokémon Showdown]]> They should have built an International Pokemon Stadium out in Montana years back. It would have solidified an annual ritual. Tis too late.

Good for them, nothing like trying to mimic Pokemon in real life to get your fans salivating.

I imagine over the top intro, ear bleeding music, and an announcer on ADD

<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Steven Spielberg Is Anime Cute, Apparently]]> Oh Spielberdeg-o!.

]]>
<![CDATA[Fyren commented on Age Of Conan Early Start Preorders Sold Out, Dammit]]> Wait couple of months.

Unless I fell off the MMO world, there is no magical launch client that does a 180 of the current open beta client yes?.

I can confidently say that Funcom will continue its excellent track record. Its about as stable as pre-two weeks-yet-disaster launch-Vanguard SOH.

It will do monster numbers, but even fanboys have to admit the mountains of bugs that should stay incubated for at least two or three more months.
