I guess no one else noticed in th elocations they say "Cairo, Africa..." You know as if Cairo weren't "in" Africa.
The Black Angels, Velvet Underground, and Jesus and Mary Chain would all go really well with this theme.
@Ryan Whitworth: Megadeth... Death Metal???!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Holy shit that is some realistic leather jacket action going on there!
@Bialia: Same here, though I think I'm a weee bit older. 6th grade was more like 20 years ago for me.
@Cheezsama: I agree SoA 2 was supposed to come out for PS2 waaaay back in 02' but SEGA canned it.

However Valkyria Chronicles (while not an Air pirate themed game) is a fantastic game in its own right, and if you lved the Airship combat in SoA, the tank combat in this game comes close.

@Befitzero: That's one chubby Sister of Battle there lol.
@DARSFOG: I can't believe someone thought to do a Negaduck costume. That's pretty awesome.

I wonder if anyone has ever dressed as Don Karnage?

@eduardjm: I remember getting Number Munchers at one of those fairs (god back in.... 88' I think?). I was totally addicted to Number Munchers, and I usually hated math.

Carmen San Diego was a breeze for me though because I loved History, Geography, and Social Studies.

@Ehardergardens: Interesting.... thanks for telling me about that game. Always looking for good horror games.
@Gordie Laverty: I think we might have been playing different games, because as I recall the Pearl Harbor fight wasn't even that great. In fact the game didn't really pick up until the third scenario. I especially loved the way they implemented the medic. They did the whole drag your corpse behind cover to heal you waaaay before GoW2.
@Jettski1: Once again... in your opinion. I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. I had a lot of fun playing Hell's Highway on my snazzy PC.
@TSlade: Yeah.. *Spoiler free*, there's a bombed out mental hospital that your squad leader gets stranded in, and he keeps seeing ghosts every few minutes. It's a really moody environment, and the way it is handled in the storyline is pretty sick. Not really hokey at all. I'd call it more of a psychological horror stage, since you can't actually get hurt by the ghosts (just the random Nazi squads patrolling the building hunting you down).
@HueyFreeman: In your opinion. I thought Hells Highway was thoroughly enjoyable. I never played the previous titles though.

It even had a freaking survival horror stage. How often do you see that in WW2 games?

@Ken: So you mean... Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (aka. The best survival horror game ever made).
I really, really tried to like CoD5, but something about it kept bugging me. Maybe it was the fact that the whole Pacific theater section was done better five years ago in Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. Of course it was a PC exclusive, but I also played WaW on PC, not console.

The only level I actually thought was pretty interesting was the Black Cats on rail stage, and the flooded Berlin Subway.

I think I may also have been spoiled by Brothers in Arms, because I played that a few days before WaW, and it was an infinitely more fun game (with much better everything... graphics/level design/controls/etc.)

@fraaap: Amen to that. WaW was pretty disappointing.
@nworobes: Agreed. Oh and I completely agree with Tenth.
