Because everyone nowadays is conditioned. And thus when the big boy on the block comes in and does something, the chihuahuas wants to follow suit.
It is the nature of our society. Sure they do not have to... but they are "conditioned" to.
Just like gamers are now "conditioned" for all this DLC that was once free (especially on disc shit). You do it long enough, people conform. Conditioning of the masses. Then it because "accepted" as business, when it doesn't have to be. But the masses have never made the best decisions now have they?
That (fanboy) comment was for ekfight... I made that clear to address him, not you. Cause he had nothing but typical intertard talk.
Reading comprehension people! Please!
Also me not playing or purchasing is more weight to them, because it is a loss sale, a potential customer that they could have, if they were not so greedy, strong-arming the industry. They can't care less about the players, cause they already got you money. Their lack of ficing the shitty net-code and hot boxes since CoD4 shows, fuck it, we still sell like Madden. Yes, when you are the numero uno, you can dictate how the industry goes.
Remember who started the $60 PC games... Activision... guess who followed suit? EVERYONE!
There are small things that the PS3 is doing better, and there are small things the 360 is doing better. Both are not monumental, to where one would notice, unless they were really looking for it.
Negligible tiny minute things. All in all they are both on par, with the PC obviously exceeding them.
And it is a variable effect... comes and goes in different intensities. Thus if the exact same instance is being done, which would be hard to get to do on both consoles at the same time, you can not call it out for it.
The 360 will also have a lighter bit, and heavier bit... same for PS3... it is variable.
The largest discrepancy is the texture quality on the PC over the consoles.
The 360 and PS3 use different time of day/weather for that draw distance shot so it is hard to compare (both have the same draw distance). Both console versions are pretty much deadlock. Where the the PC obviously excels when it comes to PQ.
Nah, it is my opinion, just like yours. Nothing will change it. When the market leader does something, others will follow suit. It is s slap to the face... especially when the maps that came with it were strategically all designed to "feel the same".
The largest complaint across the web is there is "no variety" with MW3 maps. Well no shit... they will charge you for the variety come the first map pack.
It is the company that now decides to charge for things that were once free. Release a game where every multiplayer map feels the same, only to you know DAMN WELL, they will have "variety" in the PAID map packs. You know that was done on purpose. They profit millions upon millions in one day, and they can not even throw loyal fans a bone.
Instead they make more ways to get your money with "Elite" programs etc. Because they already know they overcharge for something that was once free as a PC FPS gamer. Maps. EPIC, Valve, etc still do this for FREE for the FPS fanbase on the PC.
Gives you a bad taste when the economy was flourishing back in the day, stuff like this was free and rewarded to its fanbase. The economy is probably worse than it has ever been, and we charge for this stuff? And make more silly "programs"? All because we now created a Madden like persona for rabid userbase.
Just shady practices all around. And business or not, a slap to gamers. Especially when this Juggernaut sets the standards now.
