What I liked most about Dragon Age was that not everyone on the team conformed to the same values/morals of the leader. It was realistic and exciting to see all the different relationships play out.
@Thera: Firefighters were being kept out because the bomb squad was unable to detonate the backpack. While it's unlikely there's a bomb in it, the priority is life safety. The property is insured, and it can be rebuilt. Can't bring back anyone that dies.
That said, what the hell is taking the bomb squad so long?
Do the eight hours only include time spent in "active mode" or does it tick away while hanging out with friends in town, shooting the breeze?
If I lose experience time just for logging in to chat, my preorder is getting cancelled. The best part of FFXI was dicking about with friends, and I don't want to have a timer hanging over my head.
I have no doubt they'll increase it from 8 hours, but the whole system seems like a horrible idea. I remember thinking my game client was bugged when I started receiving 10 exp per mob, and I stopped playing the beta entirely after learning of the cap.
They're going to have to cycle through a few hosts before I'm interested.
I don't think anyone expected a match for Jezza, Hammond and May, but these guys are just awful. Even Fifth Gear managed to get decent hosts. Is America that devoid of interesting personalities?
At least the actual car segments look good. Hope this turns out, if only to raise interest in the UK show for those who've been living under a rock.
Betrayed? Seriously? She wasn't the collective otaku's possession to begin with.
I love how they try and come across as the upholders of moral righteousness, when they're just creepy, celebrity-obsessed stalkers.
If they don't like her lifestyle, no one is forcing them to support her. Being a fan doesn't mean they're entitled to run her life. She doesn't owe these losers anything.
@songs: I taught English in Japan with JET and my students had trouble with L and R. The Japanese language has a single sound that resembles both letters and the difficulty comes from divorcing students from that pronunciation and teaching them to creating two distinct consonant sounds. The problem is not all that different from learning sounds unique to slavic languages or Greek.
It is a real issue for Japanese speakers, and it required special lessons akin to speech therapy in every class I taught.
I'll keep an open mind, but I always end up gravitating back to the original titles and Pokemon.
I actually got so nostalgic today that I bought a copy of Pocket Monsters Green off eBay. I remember lusting after that game when I was a kid and it was agony waiting for Red/Blue to arrive in North America. Childhood fantasy, fulfilled!
