Turns out the T-Virus is actually AIDs and having gay sex turns you into Tyrant.
@Mech_Master: You'd think with all of these magical new systems and games to play, fanboys would have something new to say.

Guess not!

Hey guess what? Mario Baseball isn't even a franchise. It was one game on the GC. That is NOT a franchise. And it wasn't even made by Nintendo. It was by Namco.

Also, that guy who mentioned King of Kong, uhhhh you really need to start using a phrase other than "casual games." I know that's the cool buzzword to use these days but Donkey Kong is anything but casual. But guess what, it does appeal to people who play casually. A game that appeals to everyone does not mean casual. It means the game was made really well. And yes, Donkey Kong is one of the hardest games ever created.

Why would I expect a fair bit of random encounters? The game has the lowest encounter rate in the history of RPGs. Chances are I could walk through this entire new dungeon and onl get attacked once. And it'd be the boss.

What this game needs is a Super Hard Mod dlc like Blue Dragon. Then I could use my end game save, start at level 50 and go through this dungeon with the game still difficult.

Wii - it has really fun games and I'm not going to sell it because I'm not retarded

360 - bought with Blue Dragon, loved it, lots of fun games

JPS2 - I play music games

PS2 - I play RPGs

Sega Saturn - I play Guardian Heroes, the greatest 2D beat'em up of all time

DS - tons of amazing games

PSP - bunch of good RPGs but WAY too many don't come out here. Still waiting for Tales of Rebirth, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Suikoden I+II, and more Sony (and other companies)!

OXM is a very tiny magazine with a large price. That is why no one likes them.

Sprode has the WORST drum chart in the game.

@mrsmiter: You, uh, didn't get the memo that that was an April Fool's joke did you? Notice the 110mb.com part as well. It's fake and that isn't happening. Sakurai also already said they wouldn't have DLC for Brawl.
The music is fantastic and you should be ashamed for calling it terrible just because it isn't within what can only be a very narrow-minded taste set of music for you.

Go Shiina is an extremely good musical artist...person. Did some of the music for Tales of Legendia, which also had fantastic music.

It's too bad Mr. Driller doesn't have local multiplayer...since the Marketplace says that it does. That's kinda...false advertising.

@Shiryu: YES, you CAN do aerial tricks. AND wheelies. You just press the d-pad at the right time. I've even quoted a preview stating that.

The controls are NOT "gimped." Kotaku just loves to be stupidly sensationalistic because they know that most of their fanbase jumps to conclusions and tends to be so weak-minded that they'll take the first impression they get from here and run off a cliff with it.

@JustinS: Really doubt they'd change an option in Mario Kart with only a single month to go until US release...especially considering there are multiple UK reviews for the game.

The IGN previews are correct. You just use the d-pad for whatever tricks you need to do.

@Polywhirl: Just read any of IGN's previews. They're all easily available. They all (pretty sure all. I didn't really go through the AU preview very much) mention pressing the d-pad on the GC controller makes you do the same tricks as the shaking motion does.

Here, I found the exact article and line:

"I know that Bozon had mentioned in our podcast that he couldn't find a way to perform tricks or wheelies in Mario Kart Wii using a GCN or classic controller. You can, though - the functionality is just mapped to the D-Pad. So when you go off a jump, tap up on the D-Pad and you'll trick. Same for wheelies."

@Maldron: That would be because the wheel isn't actually even needed. Like you said, it's a shell. The wiimote by itself turned sideways is the exact same thing.
@Lackshmana: You too. Read that comment I made up there. Read it.

How do you people not notice that we've already had video previews showing that you can boost in all possible situations with any of the control methods? JESUS CHRIST.

@Polywhirl: Read the comment I made just now. Read it. Go over it. Understand it. Now realize how dumb everyone's being.
@Maldron: Completely a non-issue for most people. I know my own friends will all own the game and thus, everyone already has a wheel if they want it. Otherwise, I thought people were so anxious because the game has online and so, whoever you play online with will also have the wheel.

Also, people jump to conclusions that are completely incorrect and assume you can't boost without the wiimote when we ALREADY have MULTIPLE video previews that show that you can do all the same things with either control method. Which, of course, no one notices now. You just can't do all of the tricks. The tricks themselves all do the same thing.

@Amazon_Chris: By overpriced, do you mean "comes with the game at no extra charge?" Because that's what it is. Which they aren't doing anyway since, if anyone actually bothered to read any other article on the subject, they'd know that the other controllers aren't "gimped" at all.

You know what? Reading comments on this site is like looking at a microcosm for exactly how terrible the overall gaming community has gotten. Simply amazing. Kotaku, of course, does its part but posting headlines that lead to the most outrage and, of course, posters just take it run, flying off a cliff and into the most disastrous possible outcome, when news has already been reported that completely negates the headline.

I really hope people actually read this BUT I DOUBT THEY WILL BECAUSE EVERYONE NEEDS TO SHOUT IN OUTRAGE WITHOUT ACTUALLY READING but hey, I'll try.

The GC controller does tricks by having you press on the d-pad for them. At least that was what IGN's preview (I believe it was theirs) said. I would assume that you just can't do all of the various tricks.

The game is NOT GIMPED. It just means you can't do a few things that do the exact same things as things you can do.

This is terrible news unless they plan to keep Climax as the actual development studio. Capcom's PS2 version was absolutely awful.

Also, they should probably not try to push it onto everything. Pure realism has always been the real hallmark of MotoGP, which means 360 and PS3 should be the platforms (and PC as well I suppose) that they concentrate on for it.

If they actually devote a whole team and time to a Wii version, that could be cool.

@The Cat With Two Heads: They redid the song a bit so it has all of the correct instruments. It's very cool.

The song you are named after would also be very cool. Aquabats for Rock Band plz

I actually usually just boot up my 360, start a chat with the person there, switch over to the Wii and voila, voice chat in Brawl. Lag between my friends has been pretty much nil.
@smartpatrol: No...it really takes less than that for me. You can sit there and think whatever you like but you should also know that upon release of the game, at least IGN stated that the review copies given out were not totally finished and that load times were much better in the final US retail version.

And I still think comparing every game to some other game gets you nowhere, keeps enjoyment of things down and basically makes every game release into a pissing match with some other game. I'm sure that's real healthy. Go on comparing whatever you like. I'll just keep on actually enjoying the games I play instead of trying to see how many ways such and such game is like game 7 and why that makes me dislike it for some reason.
