Wake me when the Feds kill a private torrent site.
Whoops, I know people who pirate games that have DLC specifically because they hate DLC.

Whoops, Skyrim sold over 7 million copies without any DLC being out, with a complete dev kit so people can make competing DLC, and with no online components.

Whoops, someone just lost their generic and poor argument because they're too busy sucking Microsoft's dick.
That was dumb as hell. I'm more offended by commercials showing starving children in Africa. Why won't the camera men feed them?

I dunno, maybe if there were gibs I'd care more.
Glad it's fake. I want San Fierro. >:(
Saying "The inability to host your own server is a sign of the times" is giving up. Don't give up. Complain about it and mark it down as a negative about the game. The only way gamers can send a message that they don't approve of the inability to host and mod a PC game is if reviewers like you get off their damn ass and complain about it for us. Stop resigning yourself and be an asshole reviewer. Do it for the gamers. Stop cow-towing to the big-wigs.
It's really sad and mostly a waste to read that Brian is just an "occasional" PC gamer. He has an account from Valve flagged as a reviewer, which means he literally receives every game released on Steam for free, all 1,197 of them. I know that doesn't mean much for BF3 but it's a shame you don't spend more time using such a valuable account! Not a single minute is logged on a game this past week. Shame!
To anyone who is silly enough to buy an expensive video game device on Day 1, I would just like to remind you of the massive price drop the 3DS faced mere months after its release. I think I can wait a bit before getting a Vita and its accessories at sticker price.
From what I heard, all of those things were already fixed by the time the beta even made it out. The only one that the beta HELPED fix was the last one, netcode, as that was their main reason for testing the game in the first place. Except, even THAT had a bunch of bugs in the beta that were already fixed before the beta went out. So, really, nothing they listed was fixed thanks to the beta, it just wasn't in the 2 month old build we were all playing.
Same shit, different name. Wake me when an MMO comes out that isn't using the Everquest engine. *stares at Planetside 2*
I believe Bethesda is secretly building an MMO with the entire map but they're only working on bits and pieces (mainly numbers and plots, things that don't require long-term work like graphics and audio) while they primarily build the Elder Scroll sequels. Once all the lands have been covered by the sequels, focus on the MMO with half of the planning already finished and release it in a shorter-than-usual span of time. Bam, the ultimate Elder Scrolls game is complete.
Just gonna ask this here and now and maybe someone at EA/DICE will realize their error.

Who here actually cares if their PS3/360 build of the beta is 1.5 months behind that of the PC, which is the only platform that doesn't require certification? Anyone? Would anyone here actually whine that their console beta game (which almost never happen) was a few versions behind what PC players got? Anyone at all? ANYONE?!

I postulate that nobody would care and their excuse is invalid. Not that I care, I just think they're making a really wrong assumption.
Considering the amount of money Valve is making, we should believe that PC gaming is not dead and does matter.
Apparently the PC version has major crash issues so... if you do buy it... do it later.
We live in an age of technology that allows us to experience an art form over different mediums with little-to-no effort to allow this. If we were in the Diamond Age, an age in which physical and digital products could be created with zero effort, we would have the Wii(3)60 console that all games would come out on and we would never have to "think" about which platform to purchase for in order to pick and choose which friends we could and could not play with.

The fact that our industry is too stubborn to allow us the ability to buy a game once and play it across multiple platforms is a failing of our abilities as humans to push ourselves past the Digital Age. Steam is close with Steamplay and even closer with the PS3 Portal 2 purchase allowing you a PC version, but we can't depend on Valve alone to help us. Thus, in my opinion, if you want to go ahead and push yourself past the Digital Age via this stupid thing people call "Piracy" then I say go right ahead. It's not like the business people who own the entertainment industry are going to try. A competitive, fragmented market will always be larger and more profitable than a singular, monopolistic market.
You're an asshole Kotaku. Stop posting spoilers so much.
Except... the story wasn't the only completely awful abortive thing about the game... the rest of the game sucked just as poorly. So, yeah, why even bother chucking blame for something when you can be blamed for everything else that's just as wrong?
I like the part where the Kinect is entirely too close to work properly.
You know, I came into this video ready to be annoyed but... damn Lisa, you know how to edit. Nicely done.
