@dowingba: just between us, I think that's a million dollar idea.

I want in
@Michael Dukakis: I have no idea what that means, but it sounds uncomfortable.
@Douken: You are a slow reader, but at least now you know all about maize!

Knowledge is power!
@Arppis: A movie that relies heavily on referential humour with videogame lore as the focus. Street fighter jokes, Zelda jokes, Metroid jokes, Mortal Kombat, etc.

It's definitely low budget but I enjoyed it more than recent big budget movies. It's worth a look.
I just watched "Press Start" and was pleasantly surprised at some of the jokes. I'd actually recommend it to anyone who's having a lazy sunday with little to do.
@senorzb654: We weren't talking about what you were saying, we were talking about the point of the OP.

When someone causes a game, any game, to not be released, that person then deprived the gaming community of said game, regardless of quality. This is not rocketscience.

Your cheap shoe analogy is a textbook case of Reductio ad absurdum, which is a cheap and ineffective tactic. You should refrain from employing it against someone who knows his way around a debate, such as myself.
@Chester Coat Sleaves is disappointed Dean is gone.: I don't care much for your opinion concerning what is respectful and what isn't. You are the only one in this thread cursing half is message together, thus the irony in your statement is so thick I could whack it with a spoon.

I use my brain, I have demonstrated doing so by delivering cogent, concise and valid arguments. I wasn't being a dick, I was being emotionally neutral. Perhaps you cannot tell the difference, but this can hardly be considered my fault.

Maybe a grown-up's discussion isn't really your thing, ad-hominems are usually a sign of someone having no actual arguments, thus that someone tries personal assault in an attempt to drown out the realization that he was outwitted.

You didn't even bring a knife to a gunfight, you brought a scribble of a knife on a napkin to a gunfight. Grow up, kid.
@senorzb654: It can be considered offensive, yes, but that's not the point at all. The point was that given his way, he would deprive the gaming community of a game, simply because he was offended.

I don't care if he's offended, neither does the guy next door, or any of the other millions of people that play games.

For instance: I find it disrespectful that left-over hamburgers get thrown out at the end of the day at your local mcdonalds. It's disrespectful to the animal that was killed for it and offensive to me. Should the entirety of the mcdonalds chain close down because I'm offended?

No, nobody cares what I think.
@Kamatari +: Reading comprehension.

Although admittedly, there is no fact backing my statement, only the assumption the he is the only one who cares about his dead relatives and that such a reason only applies to the individual. As such, it is not by any means a valid reason to deprive the entire gaming population of a game.

Perhaps you are heartbroken about the death of some random internet persons relatives some odd 65 years ago, but I'm guessing most are not.

Also, your opening statement is pointless, that fact that I have a star has nothing to do with this entire argument.

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight, boy.
Those are ridiculous numbers. Just ridiculous.
