How is Bill not the Soldier?
I don't necisarily agree with N'Gai's point, but I do agree when he says that the imagery of killing hispanic zombies isn't the same as killing Black zombies...

The difference is history. There really isn't any history between anglo American's, and the Spanish. There kind of is between whites and blacks, you might have read about it. In RE4, the idea of implied racism couldn't really work, because there's no history there. But, if you look at a picture of a white guy shooting into a crowd of black people. I mean, I'm sorry, but there's a difference.

With that said, this is only a controversy because it lacks context. We don't know how this village got infected, we don't know why, even those villagers who aren't infected still hide amongst the shadows as Chris walks past. We all know the general idea of RE (they're zombies, they're beyond help, and I'm killing them before they kill me), but because we lack the specifics of the story, it is easy to misinterperated. Does Chris have any civil encounters with non-infected black villagers? Is the tension strictly between Chris and those that are infected? One would guess that that is the case, but we really don't know. And in that case, I can see where N'Gai is coming from.

I think people are missing the issue. The trailer is taken out of context, and when you see a presumably normal black person is lerking in the shadows, it's almost like they're playing it off as if all Black people in this game are enemies, not just those that are infected. If these trailers showed Chris having a co-operative relationship with a non-infected black villager, it would be a non-issue. But the trailler seems to depict even non-infected black people as hostile, and I think that's where N'Gai is coming from...

Now me, I just don't feel that way, and I'm almost certain Chris is just there to kill those that are infected and hostile, but the trailer does not depict that.

No Mario and Luigi from Superstar Saga/Partners in Time = Fail.
Why does everybody assume they'd charge for the Co-op mode? Kameo added it for free, why wouldn't these guys?

But yeah, my interest for this game went from mild to non-existent. The only thing that made Crackdown fun for more than 10 minutes was Co-op (which made it fun for an hour), and this game looks like a carbon copy of Crackdown. Take out the best part of Crackdown, and what do you have? A sack of boredom and regrets.

Why even put out this game? If you want the "Protype" experience, just buy Crackdown when it's price get's lowered. That way, Sierra can start working on a real game, and we can save $30, and get a superior game...

It's a win/win.

@The Amazing Exploding-Man: Ahhh, I see... I was looking through my America Goggles...

Still, 9 is better...

@bigmil87: Yeah, I knew the date, that's why my brain is on the verge of exploding...

Of course, since the Dreamcast and the number "9" seem to go hand in hand, celebrating the system's 9th anniversary would be far more awesome. Maybe that's what they're doing?

Uhhhh... Wouldn't August of this year only be the 8 and 11/12th year anniversary?

Unless I'm doing something wrong here, the 10 year anniversary would be September of 2009.

Thank you Kotaku, for you have caused me to question my sanity...

Those are dreadlocks, not cornrows... Cornrows are braided close to your scalp.
Wow... I guess you learn something every day...

Actually, I all ready knew how to pronounce his name (I didn't know it was even up for debate), but I didn't know he was a black dude with awesome dreadlocks. I guess this is because the only time I'd heard of him before was when he was on the 1up Yours podcast. Dreadlocks don't translate well over the radio.
