Maybe this will finally get the sales it deserves. sadly most people's taste in games runs toward shite. See the bestseller for the Wii for examples of this
Ahhh...one of the first video games I ever played(besides parsec on a TI/99) was a pirated copy of choplifter on a C64 cassette drive...

ah memories

Maybe PC will have 64 player support? (like BF1942 BFV 7 BF2 did)

we can only hope.

I'm just curious, who exactly do they expect to go to this movie? people who like the game? Why would I go see a movie adaptation that takes everything I love about a story and removes it?

Although I guess we can hope that the writer will keep the same amount of dialogue in the movie as the game.

Don't Uwe Boll SoTC!!!!

Sounds like BS to me.

I wonder how much $$$ the esteemed Dr got for his professional opinion of the game?

Ultima 7

the greatest RPG of all time

Until there's a movie and/or a nude mod(shudder)...no.
Screw all the haters. I'd like to see anything any one of you has put 15000 hours into. No? so stfu already.

And bob can take heart from the likes of Pixel, nifflas, and developers like bit blot.

Whether the game is lame or not it just really sucks to see someone who put all the time and effort into making a game on their own get shot down.

Guess it ain't what you know, but who you know...just like every other corporate industry.

:(

Well, it's a good sign for anyone hoping for Psychonauts 2.

but as great as that game was, I hope we keep seeing new IP from schaefer.

BaSS has been free for ages.
and Not gray-area abandonware-free. The developers released it.
Same with Amazon queen.
Is it just me, or has the GTA box art taken a nosedive since Andreas?

I wonder if it had anything to do w/ that Rockstar artist who killed himself in NYC

@fadecy: So, by new you mean 500 years old?
KNYTT or KNYTT STORIES.

these are some of the greatest games to come down the pipe in the last couple of years, and I could count the number of articles about these awesome games on 1 hand.

I know kotaku gives plenty of love to the indie scene, so how bout a little coverage for the best indie game out there

@Zerub: look fanboy, at the time the ai in half life was second to none. This was the first game to have computer controlled opponents that would flank, and take cover and throw grenades instead of just standing there and shooting.

Try upping the difficulty to medium before opening your big yap

@Geminosity: I agree in part. As I said, I think it's a step in the right direction but as a 'game' it doesn't really work that well. But as I said in another discussion how are we ever supposed to create something completely new and something completely fucking great if developers never try unorthodox things? Is Halo 3 the best we can do? Is Gears 2 as far as you want this medium to go? I hope not. They're both great games(well Gears 2 is anyway)
@Darkest Daze: or if you don't have an intelligent reply you can just say "condescending bastards!" instead of actually articulating your own idea of why the 'game' works or doesn't work. We're all very sorry we made you actually think. Please return to playing Gears 2 and Dead Space
@Green-E66: people can berate MGS4 because it is still a classically designed game. In the end it's simply a 3ps with a of cutscenes string the same basic game along. Not that graveyard represents the next generation of video-game storytelling, but the developers are at least trying to move storytelling forward. They're trying to use the 'gameplay' itself to move the player, whereas in MGS4 mini 'movies' were used to construct the story. I appreciate wht the developers were trying to do, it's just a shame they weren't able to totally get there.
