<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Does Solid Snake Have...A Solid Snake?]]> My wife worked in a nursing home and I've heard horror stories of what old men look like. Gentlemen, it doesn't stay Solid forever! Case closed.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on PS3 Trophies Not Applied To Old Saves]]> "Suddenly everyone would have perfect award scores for everything, chaos would ensue, and eventually fans would burn Sony offices all over the world to the ground. Armageddon is not nearly as fun as it sounds." I love how you write Mike =)

As much as it kinda sucks to have to re-play everything I kinda like it. It's nice to have a solid reason to dust off your old collection to just get trophies. If they did it for PS2 though we'd all be screwed.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Meanwhile, In Champions Online]]> I know your thoughts exactly Mike. I play a 6 year old MMORPG because my machine can run it (ffxi). I have to say, I wasn't a huge fan of City of Heroes but I'm really like the art style. I'm sick of MMORPG's trying to look "realistic" but just come about hurting your eyes with strong gradients and awkward animations. I'm just huge on animation, gameplay and artwork. 3 things that's really hard to find in the MMO business.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Review: Kept You Waiting, Huh?]]> After finishing the entire game and currently working on a harder difficulty I have to say playing through a second time is better than the first. The first time you're very caught up in the story and just want to find out what happens next. It's nice just exploring the easter eggs and trying different playing styles. I suggest to anyone to try your best to not kill anyone. (be careful not to shoot the frogs when they're mid air, they'll fall to their death and it counts as a kill). Very good game and I'm very satisfied with the story, gameplay and closure.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on MGS4 2006 v MGS4 2008]]> That was pretty cool how they did that video. I really didn't even notice THAT huge of difference before I saw that.

I have to admit though, once I play the first mission (or act) I'm going to be so sick of the Middle East because all of the trailers and hype.

Wow. Man I really can't wait for this game. I'm becoming obsessed.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on UPDATE: My <s>Half</s> Whole-Assed Attempt to Give You the Resident Evil 5 Trailer]]> "Don't worry my last partner was a woman too", Sounds to me like Jill and Chris's relationship hit the can or something -- or did it? Or was he talking about his sister Claire from CV. I'm so confused. Oh well, game-play looks awesome. I like the design of the new African girl.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Denver Alien Video -- Revealed!]]> So if these "aliens" are flaunting around breathing our rich 78% Nitrogen/20% Oxygen air without a galactic approved and tested football shaped atmospheric protection space helmet -- I'm shocked. Too much I see these "X-files esque grays" running around peeping on our shapely teenagers. Grey better watch out... my neighborhood is watching.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on The Refractory Period]]> My problem is restarting too much due to what I like to blame gaming perfection OCD.

I've already restarted GTA4 4 times for no apparent reason besides not knowing the mechanics of the game well enough. Still haven't beat it.

FF12 I've literally restarted 5 times. I always get to the same point (4 hours from the end) and than just quit because I get caught up in other things or get bored. A few months later I come back and restart because I don't like to continue RPGs where I've left off.

I've restarted MASS EFFECT probably 6-7 times. I've actually beat it though, only once however. I plan on playing again to unlock the different endings.

OBLIVION is by far the most OCD restart I can name. And the strange thing is that I STILL LOVE IT. I love rinse-and-repeat I guess. (I still haven't finished the main story in OBLIVION!!!)

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on G4: Video of Force Unleashed for Wii, Duel Mode]]> @Vetterli: After been playing games like GTA4 and Skate I have to agree the animations do seem a little brash. Since the game is using Euphoria though I'm hoping the animations meet are expectations from this hype train and more.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on GTA IV Multiplayer Down For Some PS3 Players]]> I haven't played in MP but I noticed while getting a lap dance (can't get enough!) PSN booted me off twice. I checked my router logs and my downloads on the PC never stopped. No idea what that's about.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on GTA IV Runs At 630P on PlayStation 3, So What's That Mean?]]> I play on a 32" 720p Samsung LCD with my PS3. I've clocked in around 10 hours with the game so far. I tried sitting really close to the TV and I sat in my normal 8 feet away and I noticed nothing "blurry". I have trouble believing this story because to my eyes it looks like 720p. Everything is as sharp as a tack on my HDTV.

The game is fun people. Spend more time taking your dates to play billiards and less time counting lines =/.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Which Version Of GTA IV Should You Buy? We Compare The PS3 and 360 Versions]]> 7 minute install time eh? Well I have a perfect plan to keep yourself busy during the wait!

Since I own both consoles and bought the HD-DVD drive for the 360...

I plan on dropping my HD-DVD down the stairs over and over. See how long it takes to finally break. Hopefully by the time it's broken I can sit down and play!

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on One Kotaku Editor's Introduction to Gaming]]> Sadly for my I was the younger brother of the rightful owner of the Atari. I would always sneak in a few games before I got beat up and forced to eat his socks. *sighs*

Sad times for me until I got old enough to own my very own NES. HAHA! Brother, eat that you "Bantha Poodoo"!

When I was a little older my Father would "Attempt" to play Mario with me like everyone else in the world. However, when we made the jump to 3D my Dad said screw it. I think I was playing "Krazy Ivan" when he decided games got too complicated.

I guess my greatest accomplishment was I got my Wife to play video games. She was only familiar with Nintendo games and never experienced the fascinating world of violent gaming. She loves to play FFXI and the Civilization series with me. Good times.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on GTA IV: Best Game Since ... Well, When?]]> Also to add in. Listen to the IGN podcast. They covered some good stuff and made me even more excited. <![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Are You Buying Xbox 360 or PS3 GTA IV?!]]> I own both consoles. My 360 is showing signs of (death destruction broken) lately. So I will be picking up my PS3 GTA4 version while I leave my 360 (with Mass Effect inside) broken.

]]>
<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on The Weekends Are Made for GTA]]> @Pornosaur: Yeah I have to wait in line at my local store at midnight. Sadly, I don't get off work til' that time. I reserved the PS3 version and more than likely everyone is getting 360 so I *should* get a copy. God I hope so.

]]>
<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Live GTA IV Player's Xbox 360 Goes RRoD]]> If you watch the streams just for preview purposes I see nothing wrong with it. The guy I was watching last night said plenty of times to buy the game on Tuesday. Also he refused to use cheats and was only doing limited missions to save spoilers. However, it's still illegal and I suppose he had it coming. I honestly believed for a while that it was a covert operation trying to show off the game pretending to be Pirates and when people saw enough they took it off and staged a RRoD.

]]>
<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Boom Blox Video Walk Through]]> @JustEaton: You really have to wade through the Wii crap to find interesting games. This game looks pretty cool based on the trailer but my gaydar went off somewhere. Probably worth the try if you have a kid or bored.

]]>
<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on Korn Debuts Haze the Song]]> @GUNDAM-RX-78-2: Using the word "enhanced" tries to encourage people from not just simply downloading the song for free. Or I guess the CD version has better EQ? Maybe there's an extra percussion piece like the cowbell.

]]>
<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on GTA IV Special Edition In The Wild, Gets Unboxed Down Under]]> @ShaggE: Same here. It's going to be a long week at school/work. I'll probably dish the bones out for the special edition for the fancy artwork. I really like how they drew that girl.

<![CDATA[RYAMATSU commented on GTA's Lazlow discusses IV on Radio]]> @Elijah Man: 1up gave it a preview not full review yet. I believe they don't want spoilers (or allowed to for that matter). Because someone isn't over hyping doesn't mean it's going to be bad though.
