While I'm getting AW on release day, and while I feel that the game is super sweet, this statue could be, well, balanced better. I'm sure most people see what the statue is trying to convey: Asura reeling back to deliver a heavy punch. What I see: Asura falling onto his back after losing balance or being pushed. .___.
If you've ever used a floor buffer then you know what these guys are dealing with. The machine weighs more than you and has rather high torque. When you see someone using one it LOOKs like they are completely in control as the pad just glides over the floor but that is not the case. The machine, rather, pulls you around the floor and by manipulating the height of the grips you are causing the pad to spin in one direction or another as you guide it left and right. I can only imagine that the machine above operates in a similar fashion. With it being stuck in the cement like that it really just turns into a robot -lariat machine.
I mostly agree with you. Though, an optimization, if anything would have been very, very nice. Odin Sphere is amazing in it's own right but I remember the PS2having some trouble cranking it out. Furthermore, as it is an already beautiful game a remastering would give us proper widescreen and cleaner graphics. It's hard not to want that.
For the record, I'm only a bit bummed, it's still great that we can download these games. I'm really hoping that Grim and OS sell plenty and the PS3 grabs Vanillaware's attention.
