N64 Kid’s Dad Calls Son “Liar” and “True Gamer”

Here's how it went down (we think): Hyper kid gets Nintendo 64, parents film it. Year later, the clip finds its way to the internets, makes the kid famous. Gets a nickname, "The Nintendo 64 Kid." N64 kid puts his N64 on eBay. Game site Destructoid lays down a bid for the console. Kid's aunt calls Insert Credit's Brandon Sheffield about a video game version of the N64 kid's, well, something. We guess. Destructoid retracts its bid upon learning the N64 kid is not a gamer, but like a skateboard dude. The Nintendo 64 kid says he never plays his Nintendo 64. The game-hating Nintendo 64 kid's father vouches for his son's gamer status, saying his son "lied" and that "he played the game and still played it up until the video hit the web." N64 dad goes on to say how genuine his son's emotions are.

This is way stranger than it needs to be. Waaay stranger.
