				This won't go down well with the Qore-hating brigade. Especially if you're also a MotorStorm fan. It's been revealed that as part of the upcoming fourth episode of Sony's paid-for PS3 "editorial" program, both annual subscribers and individual purchasers of the episode will be given access to the MotorStorm 2 demo a <em>month </em>before anyone else. 				Sony's released a buncha new <i>MotorStorm 2</i> screens and concept artwork. While the previous game was set in Monument Valley, the sequel's gone all tropical with a jungle  beach backdrop. Online it's possible for up to 16 players to go head-to-head, while up to four players can race each other offline. <i>MotorStorm 2</i> also rolls out the monster trucks. Wasn't that into the first <i>MotorStorm</i>, but this is looking attractive. 				Evolution Studios' tropically themed follow-up to <em>MotorStorm</em> was playable at today's SCEA Pre-E3 Judge's Day, a pre-alpha build that gave us just a taste what the sequel holds in store. Just two levels were on hand in the demo version of <em>MotorStorm: Pacific Rift</em>, Beach Comber (for single player) and Rain God Spires (for split-screen multiplayer). The former was comprised of an inland area, thick with vegetation, and a sandy beach, the sun setting brightly in the distance. 				 <em>Motorstorm</em>? Loved it. Probably loved it more than you did, as I played through the entire thing, sticking up for it during the public picking apart of it's graphical promise. "It doesn't look like that E3 2005 footage!" they said. "La la la! I can't hear you! Vrrooom!!" I said. <em>Motorstorm 2</em>? I'm concerned. I keep looking at that ever present "pre-alpha 40% complete" reminder, but, man, does that water look less interactive than I'd hoped&mdash;even though the cooling properties are nifty. Still, monster trucks! And that lens flare? Just like the real thing. 				 Following a fresh batch of screens this morning, more Motorstorm 2 details are emerging from the Sony PlayStation Day in London, where Sony's Paul Hollywood was on hand to deliver the goods on the new title. Now called Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, the entire game takes place on a tropical island, complete with waterfalls, volcanoes, and vegetation that will hinder smaller vehicles while the large ones crush it beneath their wheels. The game will double the number of tracks from the first game, bringing the number to a much more respectable 16. You'll be able to drive through streams to cool your engine, adding a bit of strategy to the mix, while the addition of monster trucks to the franchise will certainly cause problems for those who prefer the lightweight, crushable motorbikes. On the multiplayer side of things, the game will support split screen multiplayer as well as 16-player online races. 				Evolution Studios is setting themselves up for some serious nitpickery with their next <em>MotorStorm</em>, spitting out a pre-rendered trailer that we suppose should be considered a "target render." Regardless of the delivery, as a <em>MotorStorm</em> fan, it's still very exciting stuff. 				 Sony showed a few games off at GDC, but one they didn't "show off" was MotorStorm 2. That one was reserved for the BBC, apparently, as only the Beeb's Darren Waters got a premiere showing of Evolution's upcoming racer. The sequel to 2006's launch favourite is leaving the desert behind, and will instead concentrate on a "lush island environment, full of interactive vegetation". 				To acquire Motorstorm developer Evolution and their Pursuit Force subsidiary BigBig, Sony forked over £16 million, which translates to a little over $32 million. So is that a lot of money?
