				 Partly for nostalgia, but definitely on its own merits,<em>The Hacker</em> is my favorite mobile game, so far, of 2012. The first rejected password on that green monochrome screen took me back more than 25 years to Activision's <em>Hacker</em> on the Commodore 64</em>, a game that had no real instruction manual, just that opening screen. 				Having reviewed the likes of <a href="http://kotaku.com/5459136/matt-hazard-blood-bath-and-beyond-micro+review-a-bloody-fun-hazard+time"><em>Matt Hazzard: Blood, Bath and Beyond</em></a>, I was prepared to dislike <em>One Epic Game</em>, a platformer set in, let's see here, yes, "an alien invasion right in the middle of a zombie outbreak in a fantasy kingdom somewhere in a post-apocalyptic wasteland." That's from a cutscene. 				 The most clever twist of <em>FlipShip</em> didn't reveal itself to me until, about a half-dozen rounds into this top-down shooter, I finished a game with a score of exactly zero. <em>Then</em> I realized that this game wasn't predicated on twitch skills but knowing, in an arcade sense, when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. 				 When you think back to old-school arcade games, the hazy mist of nostalgia and the technical limitations of the day tend to obscure the fact that you were laying waste to hordes of enemies. 				Learning to drive a stick shift on my mother's BMW 325 was one of the most maddening experiences in a teenage life full of them. I just could not figure out what the hell that thing's clutch wanted out of me. It defied all verbal instruction. It was a car of undeniable quality, and a bad one to learn on.
