Capcom didn't announce any such title at their recent media briefing, but rumor reporting site Rumor Reporter says Lost Planet Wars coming. In fact, the site's author first mentioned the title back in February, but saw fit to dredge up the old rumor following Capcom's other announcements.

The site doesn't mention what genre Lost Planet Wars would fall under, but anyone who knows their videogame spin-offs wars means tactics.

Some recent comments from the company's director of brand marketing Jack Symon lend a bit more weight to the rumor. He told Gamespot that "I do think you are going to see announcements going forward with a multiplatform strategy," deftly dodging confirmation or denial of a PLAYSTATION 3 port of the original Lost Planet. Symon also added that "We're definitely proud to have a new IP, and there will be more on Lost Planet for sure."
