Behold the official Kotaku logo for Games Convention 2008 in Leipzig, Germany. It was designed by our very own Adam, who proves his worth in new ways every day. The logo is just one of the preparations being made for next Sunday, when McWhertor and I make the trek overseas to cover the massive game festival. The folks over in Germany are busy preparing as well, if these images of the early booth assembly are any indications. Xbox Live is getting more content to LIVE Marketplace, but this time they are broadening their range passed the usual categorical "gamer" programming which so far has mostly consisted of potty humor programming and B-rated movies. Although I enjoy both immensely, it's nice to see Microsoft going beyond the stereotype because, after all, they aren't a cable company and therefore don't need to keep such tight restraints on the kind of content they offer. It looks like someone's finally gotten around to updating the U.S. site for the Playstation 3, too bad it was with a logo for Apple. If you go to the site and watch the image of the Playstation 3 when it loads you'll see the Apple logo appear for about half a second right on top of the console. More »
