Wii Hits 3 Million, DS Racks Up 18 Million

underdog.jpg The Wii is a juggernaut. While the PS3 has broken a million in sales since launch, the Wii has done that — thrice over in Japan. Between its December launch and July 15, over three million Wii consoles were sold in The Land of the Rising Sun. In related It-Prints-Money news, the grand total for DS sales is just north of 18 million. Here's the breakdown since going on sale: 11,648,652 Nintendo DS units sold and 6,447,428 Nintendo DS Lites sold. Yup, Nintendo's no longer the underdog.
