Clive Thompson has an interesting item up about the recent surge in game-themed oil paintings. He mentions the work of Prague artist Jeremiah Palecek, who has painted scenes from Super Mario Bros, Joust and Counterstrike, to name a few; and El Rey, who does impressionistic scenes from Half Life 2. Hmmmm, maybe I could sneak one of these by my wife as "real" art and get it up in my game room.
