Ten year Gamespot vet and editor-in-chief Greg Kasavin has announced that he's leaving the helm of the long-running Cnet owned online publication to pursue a career at an unnamed video game developer. Known for his generally harsh but fair reviews, including an in-depth set of review guidelines, Kasavin calls his career move a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to "contribute to one of my favorite gaming franchises."
Since I don't stalk Greg and haven't kept up with his favorite gaming franchises (outside of his affinity for Ninja Gaiden and Planescape: Torment), we'll just have to wait a little while longer to get the full dirt on where the former editor-in-chief is headed.
Personally, I'll miss Greg's reviewing style and wish him success wherever he goes.
