				The game formerly known under its working title as "<a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/e307/spielbergs-games-revealed-275995.php">PQRS</a>" will from now on be referred to as <em>Boom Blox</em>, as GDC overseer Jamil Moledina revealed in his blog that the EA-Steven Spielberg collaboration will have a presence at the upcoming conference. <em>Boom Blox</em>, in development at EA LA, has been described as an "action-puzzle simulator" and will be the focus of executive producer Lou Castle's session at the Game Developers Conference.				<a href="http://kotaku.com/332625/spielbergs-boom-blox-will-be-featured-at-gdc" title="Click here to read more about Spielberg's Boom Blox Will Be Featured At GDC">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

				A taxi deposits me outside of the Nob Hill Masonic Center around 5 p.m. last Friday. Originally I was supposed to arrive closer to 6:00, but a last minute email from my sponsor for the event, Dream Authentics, sent me into a flurry of preparation seldom seen in my otherwise relatively laid back life. 				Critics darling and <i>Killer 7</i> producer <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/suda-51/">Goichi Suda</a>  talked about artistry and business at last week's GDC. He explained that there are two types of creators: Business-oriented and art-oriented. For business devs, the client's wishes and expectations are priority numero uno. But the arty-types, it's their vision. (Though, Suda does admit that basically all game developers must be business-oriented, because, well, it is a business!) But at the end of the day, he says that he and his company Grasshopper Manufacture hold art in the highest regard thanks to, and we quote, "punk spirit." Not so much anti-authority, but rather, he's talking about doing something different from others. 				Every year GDC hosts the Game Design Challenge, which takes a handful of the best game designers around and challenges them to come up with an enticing game concept according to a set theme. This year's theme? The Needle and Thread Interface. Creating a game that uses a needle and thread as the interface for the gameplay in some fashion. The contestants? 				I have nothing but respect for City of Heroes lead designer Matt Miller and world designer Mellissa Bianco, who had to play opening act for the legendary Richard Garriott at NCSoft's presentation yesterday, where they were detailing the upcoming Issue 9: Breakthrough update for City of Heroes and Villains.
