Now before you get all excited, let me tell you one thing. Don't get too excited. This "website" is really only a teaser page and in all likelihood, has nothing to do with Nintendo. A quick whois lookup reveals that the domain was registered through GoDaddy and seeing as Nintendo generally registers their domains through Network Solutions, the probability of this being an actual licensed project is slim to none. More probable is that this is some fan project that may or may not ever come to fruition. Anyone care to make further speculations?

How did you guys find this? :O
@Fadakar: off topic, but that symbol as your avatar, what does it mean when its on next to someones rank in halo 3
It's probably another "cyber-squatter" porn site :P
I'm gonna guess its either a Total Conversion of an existing, emulated Zelda game to a different set of maps/dungeons/etc on Win/Mac/Nix, or a conversion of a Zelda game to a different engine (similar to the OoT->Link to The Past Engine project) on the same general platform set. It doesn't seem like the type of thing in terms of art design that would be coming from Nintendo proper.
@hass:
means your a registered user on bungie.net and have linked your bungie.net profile to h3s
This isn't even worth posting.
Nintendo wouldn't be so roboant in design. Let's say it's a nice fansite.
@fardakar
i saw it on a ytmnd...
but its gone now...
who knows Hyrulian? we need a translator for those words underneath the title.
lets get some updated sprites and visuals for zelda 2 and i will make a website that puts that one to shame
@Tom_Murphy: My hyrulian might be a little rusty, but it roughly translates to "All you bitches be frontin', but Link's got the goods".
I looks like really crappy Miai CGI I have seen better in my college lab back in LA.
Maybe a live-action movie?
@mekklesack2:
Well the before it was called triforce, it was a logo for some 70's porn company *Get why miymoto used it ;3*
Could be for that fanmade movie that's been in the works for awhile now.
@Kirbytheslayer: lawl
@RJdog:
I wouldn't mind seeing that. It's well overdue.
@redgopher: Mmm, but your account is definitely worth hammering.
The main reason I'd find this hard to believe to be a true Nintendo website is because I'd imagine the new Zelda is going to be released in around 2009 or 2010. Ninty likes to take their sweet time.
If this isn't by Nintendo, aren't their lawyers going to have a field day with this?
@Kirbytheslayer:
I lol'd. Hard.
I'm trying to decipher the Hyrulian, it's a weird format.
Alright, I can't. I only know Windwaker/OoT style. This is the new kind from Twilight Princess that I haven't learnt yet. It looks like it's just a bunch of random lettering, they didn't put any effort into it from the looks of the spelling.
[www.kasuto.net]
Thats what I know.
A quick View Page Source on Firefox said something about The new legend awaits...interesting
@Scottendo: Wanna know MY findings? That you're not taking anyone to prom. LOL.
I jest, of course :P
This might be tied to the Fan made movie that is due out sometime.
@Scottendo: This is one of those situations (like the timeline) where Zelda fans put more thought into the subject than Nintendo ever did. There is no alphabet, stop trying. It's just a bunch of funny shapes.
@Moonshadow101: Wind Waker's Hylian language corresponded with Japanese kana if I remember correctly. It was impossible for an English-speaking American to translate, but not impossible entirely.
@Scottendo: the one you havent learned yet? meaning you have taken the time to learn a language from a video game only nerds care about? seriously dude, either get a life or try out for beauty and the geek.
either way you need to wake up and realize learning fake languages isnt cool and no one cares you know it/about it.
@Ichidou: zing!
i sir, appreciate your wit. thank you for being normal.
Ok, I used some website to translate it, and here is what it says:
"magoromiwoyaruhomi gamomi umofuraramirumemi remu orumaraminn amagumirugagiwomi"
Don't know what that means...
[www.omniglot.com]
@Tom_Murphy: @Kirbytheslayer: @Scottendo: not to be an annoying douchebag, but I think the language is called Hylian not Hyrulian (I like the zelda series way too much). And, since I gave my dose of fanboy for today, I'm gonna bookmark that site & check it at least once a day untill it is proven it is fake (& I'm almost positive it is)I think everyone would want a 2nd zelda game for the Wii or DS hopefully Wii though (maybe both)
@Scottendo: Well i can tell you that it aint the new kind from Twilight Princess.
It looks more like Windwaker style but some of the letters in that text doesnt exist...
It's already been suggested, but my money is on fan film.
@hass:
It means they have their gamertag linked with their Bungie.net profile.
@billybastion: Fuck you, zelda Isn't for nerds, it's for people with taste in videogames who know what is good. I know you just listen to reviews to find what games you like, but there usually wrong about most stuff (c'mon we all know that Halo sucks)
@Andune: Correcting myself.
The Windwaker type is more based on Japanese and since Japanese has a lot more characters than English that may be a problem...
Twilight Princess on the other hand is based on our roman alphabet.
@mferrari: I agree and disagree. Halo does suck. But Zelda is getting a bit weak sauce.
Don't get me wrong, I love Zelda games as much as the next nerd, and will always keep playing them. Just would be nice to see nintendo try something a little diffrent one day instead of playing their safety guaranteed money making cards.
[www.escapistmagazine.com] says it best, while saying alot.
Ok, did a bunch of internet digging (I had a good bit of free boring time to burn). It looks like the script under the title is 'Modern Hylian' script (used in the Wind Walker game), though a bit more stylized with the font used.
Translated into Japanese katakana it seems to make no sense (though honestly I don't know the language, this stuff is just the result of the last 20 mins of research online). It seems to me that the syllabary was chosen to look good, and not say anything, though maybe someone that knows katakana can say for sure.
Translated: オゴロミヲヤミルホミ ガモミ ウモフララミルメミ ムム オルマラミンン アルグミルガギヲミ
(NOTE: the above translation could be backwards since I've read that sometimes Hylian is translated into japanese backwards, so who knows.. and wow I'm suprised that there is so much info on this on the net)
It's pretty obvious that it's not official. The design sorta reeks of amateurism.
oh great, another bastard zelda game on a gamecube system.
awwwweeesssfuuckkkyyooouuuunintendo.
TP sucked balls. Ocarina 1.1 + animal form ripped from majora.
worst. 3d. zelda. ever.
@mferrari: zelda hasn't been good since 2003 =)
only fanboys (nerds) still play it :)
Probably not Nintendo. The triforce in the pic looks amateurish, and the domain registrant is done through domains by proxy.
On the other hand, there were a lot of rumors a couple years ago about a Zelda game for the Wii deep in development to be released in 2008.
In any case, if it's not Nintendo, their lawyers are going to have some fun come Monday.
Talk about stupid, anyway I think for Zelda theres needs to be some sort of plot progression in the series, we play the same thing every time. Maybe show it in the future? Like a certain Rpg series?
@CrimemasterGogo: Yes, yes, we all saw the Cyberpunk Zelda concept drawings. you're not being original.
@death_is_the_spice_of_life: THANK YOU you're the first person to agree with me that TP wasn't all that great.
If anyone suggests that there hasn't been a good Zelda game for a long time, I recommend picking up a copy of Phantom Hourglass and saying it with a straight face.
I just registered to say that this site gives off a distinct air of "fourteen-year-old with a pirated copy of Photoshop".
I mean, PAPYRUS? Jesus fuck; honestly. Let's not even consider that the background images look like something pasted from a recent Final Fantasy cutscene.
@Hoboman725: Where have you been? Plenty of people feel it was overrated. And he just sounds like hes trolling anyway. I can't wait for Monday!
@Furious_Liver: lol... well at least i don't look like a troll =)
and zelda has gone downhill, because of greedy ass nintendo!
@billybastion: Actually, the letters in Twilight Princess corresponded to the Latin alphabet. There's a Rosetta stone of sorts above the Lakebed Temple entrance.
Yes, but you realize that he's the first person after 43 comments. That's quite a bit of opposition for your side.
@CrimemasterGogo:
No, there can't be plot progression, because that makes the series either finite, or it will get boring when they try to stretch the same characters. Each Link is different, with his own personality. The same goes for Zelda, and they should never change timeframes. The fact that it happens in this unknown timeframe in the past within an alternate universe where it could never be at any time within our own past makes it timeless for people in the same way that Final Fantasy is. When you can't place the setting or the time in any finite point in the history or future, it creates intrigue, one of the major devices of Zelda series. Once bows become guns, potions become medicines and magic becomes battery power, it becomes such a different game that it just isn't even the same series. It's why the new Kingdom Hearts games happening in the period seen in the end of Final Mix+ AREN'T called Kingdom Hearts.
@death_is_the_spice_of_life: implying WW was the last of the best or the first of the worst?
I would say WW is the last of the best (loved the game!) but I've never played any of the handhelds.
