The latest issue of Famitsu has some surprising news. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has a Japanese release date of June 23. Like, THIS June 23. Surprised? I am. I thought this thing was a Christmas game for sure.

Of course, it still might be. This is just the Japanese release date, after all. Nothing stopping localisation, release schedule strategies or (in Europe's case, at least) just plain old-fashioned bastardry standing in the way of a summer release.

We're waiting to hear back from Nintendo America. Expect an update when, you know...they're out of bed and at work. Luke Plunkett
