The Germans (at least some Germans) have announced the construction of the Game Developer Business Centre, an office complex that's very close to the Leipziger Messe convention centre. Which is the place, funnily enough, the show we call Leipzig is held. It's being constructed in an attempt to lure talented Eastern European developers from out behind the gloom of the old Eastern bloc and into the glorious, penetrating economic sunshine of the West, where they'll (in theory) be able to peddle their wares more successfully. While at the same time giving the local economy a leg up. So everybody wins! Oh, except the countries these kids are leaving. With their best and brightest kidnapped by the Germans, they'll be stuck in 1957 for another fifty years. Bummer!
