Nineteen year-old Robert Anthony Cannon pleaded guilty for the 2004 beating deaths of six people. In exchange for life in prison without parole, he has agreed to testify against his partners in crime— two other nineteen year-old men (Jerone Hunter and Michael Salas) and a 28 year-old "mastermind" (Troy Victorino) .
According to MSN, Cannon pleaded guilty to 14 charges, including six counts of capital first-degree murder, five counts of abusing a human corpse, one count of armed burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to the police, Victorino was kicked out of a house where he was squatting. He then organized the attack to retrieve his beloved Xbox that had been left behind. The men then burst into the home with baseball bats and bludgeoned the victims, along with a small dog. All have confessed, but Victorino, who claims to have been passed out in a local bar when the killings took place.
The state of Florida is seeking the death penalty against Hunter, Salas and Victorino.
