If you've been having issues with playing games on Xbox Live tonight, you're not the only one. While many functions of the service are still up and running (including voice chat, marketplace), those looking to set up multiplayer matches are running into major problems. The outage has been going on for a number of hours tonight, with no ETA on when we can expect Live matchmaking to return.

After fielding numerous complaints Xbox Live's Major Nelson updated his blog with "the operations team is aware of the issues and are working on it."

Well let you know if we hear more, but for now expect your Xbox 360 experiences to be single player only. Michael McWhertor
