Boy, I'm starting to feel sorry for Microsoft and the Xbox 360. The Wall Street Journal ran a story that essentially blames a steep plunge in game software sales on the 360. Seems people are waiting to buy the 360 — and other next-gen consoles — and not buying software for their old boxes. The story also points out that in past transitions between console generations some game companies have stumbled so badly that they went out of business *cough*Acclaim*cough*.
Come to think of it, the Journal is right. I haven't bought any games in a while. Anyone out there still buying software for old rigs?
