I ran into Wonder Woman after the Sony party. She was standing in the bus parking lot freezing her gold-wrapped ass off waiting for her pass to get in.
If you didn't catch our post about Wonder Woman on Thursday, she was kicked out of the show for not meeting the dress requirements.
WW's real name is Kasey Poteet and she's an on-air personality for webcaster Geek Rock, which you can catch on MusicPlusTv.com.
Her co-host, Don Gaffney, said he and Poteet showed up at the convention with their camera crew to cover the show. Poteet said she dressed as WW because she was psyched about Justice League and wanted to go in a Cosplay outfit.
Within minutes of their arrive security had been called to escort them from the premises. The guards confiscated Gaffney and his crew's ID cards, but Wonder Woman refused to give her's up.
"I was holding mine hostage until the guys got theirs back," she said. "They didn't do anything wrong."
When Poteet refused to give up the card, the security guards called the cops. LAPD's finest arrived and weren't sure what to do, Gaffney said.
"They said, 'We don't want to arrest Wonder Woman," he said.
The cops managed to arbitrate a compromise getting the goddess of the golden lasso to give up her card in exchange for her team members getting their cards back.
The small brouhaha caught the attention of a bunch of national news agencies (including Kotaku), and even landed the duo passes to the oh-so-hard-to-get Sony Party.
