
Sure, it's too early to tell, but current sales show the Wii coming in first, followed by the Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3. But, Xbox 360 owners buy way more games than other consoles: 5.4 games per 360 compared to the Wii's 2.8 and the PS3's 2.3. Reuters asked pundit Michael Gartenberg of Jupiter Research for his insights:
Their [Nintendo's] challenge going forward is to make sure this is not a passing fad by getting a stream of content into the market. The game console purchase driver is still going to be first and foremost games. The secondary stuff is the icing on the cake.
