Earlier this week, Nintendo began advertising its upcoming console on Japanese TV. While most of our commenters thought it was dull as shit, the ad is apparently dividing The Land of the Rising Sun's gaming public. Next Gen's Tim Rogers reports that the majority of the reviews have popped up since the ad debuted and are split between one and five stars.
Negative comments include:
- "How could Nintendo betray all the GameCube fans?"
- "How the heck are you supposed to play a complicated game like an RPG with a remote control?"
Positive comments include:
- "Purely Nintendo."
- "Cute."
- "Friendly-looking."
If the general Japanese public is just now figuring out the Wii-mote, cannot wait until they get the pee jokes.
