7-15 Wiimotes on One Console?

How you could get up to fifteen people in a room to play a singular video game and not kill each other is beyond me, but if it sounds good to you, read on. An accidental experiment done by Game Influence (and friends) revealed hints that more than four wiimotes can be used to play just one game (though of course, there isn't a Wii game out right now that is 4+ player). The experiment showed that after connecting a wiimote via bluetooth on a Mac, it results in a peculiar set of light combinations on the controller, showing two lights on a wiimote (instead of just one).

The hypothesis is that since there were 15 combinations of this phenomenon, then up to 15 players could play. Bluetooth specs, however, limits same profile devices usage to seven, so who know what those 15 light combinations are for. Maybe it's just a wiimote's way of saying, "Hey! Stop doing experiments on me and my friends!"
