Hey, hope you had a great weekend, I know I did. Nothing too exciting news wise, but I did pick up a couple of new games and played a stupid amount of bongos. I got back into searching for old game commercials and ended up finding some neat old Japanese toy commercials. Mostly Gundam robot kind of stuff, but it was still pretty cool. Got a chance to sit down and play my ukulele for a couple hours which was great since I haven't been able to that for a while. I had gotten a Pink Flying V Uke a while back and I finally got around to stringing it. Sounds pretty good.
Some things of note this weekend:
I wrote a little piece about my current obsession with rhythm games.
This guy on DeviantArt did a great God of War/Wii comic.
Rumor has it that the TMNT arcade game is coming to XBLA
Alien Hominid actually is coming to XBLA
Movies I watched while I was writing this weekend: Jezebel (Bette Davis at her finest. Yellow Jack!), The Innocents (One of the best b&w ghost story films ever made. Based on Henry James' Turn of the Screw), The Wicker Man (The original, not the piece of shit remake with Nicholas Cage), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (That flash game from this morning inspired me), the last half of Gone With the Wind (It was already in progress when I turned on TCM) and Casablanca (What can I say that hasn't already been said?).
Alrighty, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my evening with a few rounds of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and see if I can get a little further into Final Fantasy III. Man, that game is epic. Goodnight!
