$2 Billion Blown On Game Ads By 2012

Advertising sells more games, more games sold leads to more advertising. Simple rule. Little bit like the chicken and the egg, just less catchy. Taking that into account, Parks Associates have figured that by 2012, companies will be spending around $2 billion hawking games, consoles and the rest. Whichever way you look at it, that's a great deal of clams.

The biggest spending rise is predicted to hit in-game advertising, as it jumps from $55 million last year to $800 million in 2012. At which point there will be no game on earth free of it. Which means anyone objecting to the concept has about five years to get their complaining out of their system. Go on. Best get started, then.
