Another PLAYSTATION 3 firmware update is coming (any day now) and first official details are available at the official PlayStation blog. Given that this is another hundredths decimal update, don't expect much other than added AVC High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) playback support.
However, Eric Lempel, PlayStation Network Operations director, once again mentions increased PlayStation 2 software compatibility, so further details may still be forthcoming. Say, like, a release date other than "a few days" from now.
