Steam Logs 13 Million Users

Steam, Valve's digital game download service, has now clocked in over 13 million users. Not too much of a surprise when you consider the amount of popular titles they have been offering lately and aving big companies like Eidos and Capcom adding their games to the mix certainly doesn't hurt either. Psychonauts, Prey and half-Life are just a few of the excellent titles you can download for minimal monetary contribution. Prices for games range from ten dollars for older games to forty five for newer titles.

For the uninitiated, Steam works by downloading the games directly to your hard drive, saving you the hassle of going to the store and trying to find a place to put all that damned packaging that seems to take up more shelf space than empty boxes should. There is definitely something to be said for the power of convenience.
