Nintendo Wii Points are basically the equivalent of money to spend in the Wii Shopping Channel, with 100 Wii points being equal to $1. That is unless you buy them from Toys R Us. Kotakuite Bill discovered that his local Toys R Us is selling the 2000 point card for $24.99. It's the same price on their internet.

When you figure in taxes you are losing around a quarter of the value by purchasing the points from them. It's as if they were charging $25 for a $20 gift certificate.
The manager said, "well we don't set the prices and besides do you know how many people have purchased these in the last two weeks and you were the first to say anything!"So it's okay to overcharge as long as nobody says anything? I understand that the manager has nothing to do with pricing, but someone at Toys R Us made the decision to screw the customer out of $5. Classy.
