Utada "Queen of Tetris" Hikaru Is Defeated!

She came, she saw, she gamed. Japanese pop mega star Utada Hikaru took on challengers at a Club Nintendo sponsored Tetris DS event. Said Hikky, "I first played when I was five years-old and every day since then." She's racked up a whopping 99,999,999 on the game's current DS incarnation to prove it. Nutshell: She's a big Tetris nerd and even wore glasses during the tourney, because, says Hikky, "It is serious." Thirty contestants were pitted against the singer, one-by-one, and there was six minute time limit for each battle. The first challenger defeated the singer in 56 seconds. Likewise, Utada is defeated by a female challenger in the second round. Next contest was a small child, who Utada schooled and slaughtered. Her final tally? 26 wins and 4 defeats. Impressive. That's awesome. Not only is she extremely hot and talented, but she's also a gamer! And I'm not talking about those stupid celebrities who pose at Videogame red carpet events (I'm looking at you, Paris Hilton!). When you school all of those people live, people who I'm sure have played Tetris just as intenesely as you have, AND you are a good singer, well, I have massive respect for you.

You know, I'm not one of those gamers that consider Aeris an imaginary girlfriend or go crazy over J-idols and the like (in other words, not a Japanophile).. but I have one pathetic crush on Utada Hikaru. The fact that she publicly slaughtered a small child at Tetris only bolsters it.

We had a conversation in school one time where the boys were separated from the girls and had a discussion on sexuality. Believe it or not, it was in a class called Christian Living (private school obviously), and we were taught that it was okay to be attracted to certain body parts and traits. One guy in my class stated that he liked "boobs." Another "butts." I didn't pop in with an answer, but a similar thing happened at small Bible study one time where the youth pastor asked us what we were attracted to. My answer? "Girls who play video games and like it." And, what's more, I didn't feel pathetic stating that in front of people!
