Here's kirinuki nori ("cut-out seaweed") in the shape of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl characters. Here's how it works: Carefully punch out the pre-cut designs and slap 'em on a bed of white rice. There are four sheets of Pikachu seaweed, four sheets of Munchlax, four of Eevee, twelve stars and eight lightening bolts. Perfect for spicing up bland bento boxes. Yum!

Just die pokemon, please just go away.
Man,I miss washoku. Onigiri's are tastey!
Taste better than anything McDonalds have to offer.
Mulch who?
Munchlax is the new pre-evolution of Snorlax. It (Munchlax) is one of the 'new' pokemon in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and I think also seen in one of the recent pokemon movies.
Yes, I'm an adult. A sad, sad adult.
...I concur, onigiri are tasty. Might have to cook up some rice and mix up a filling a little later...
The packaging is quite appealing.
better than mcdonalds? That is total japanese fanboyism... It's a seasoning / condiment / snack.
The korean salty nori is good with beer though.
\would still rather eat Mcdonalds.
\\waiting for burger king to come back to japan
\\\wishes taco bell would come back to.
\\\\Mosburger is overated
\\\\\Yoshinoya is the best
While in Korea I happened upon Peanut butter seaweed. I bought it but haven't ate it. Don't think I will either.

Yeah, that blows that BK got shafted from Japan. There are still Wendy's around a lot of places.
I ended up eating at BK in Shin-Yokohama one Christmas when my company hosed my vacation time. Filthy bastards.
Munch on our new laxative Munchlax®!
Mulch what?
Onigiri(s) are snacks... I think it's healthier than the "Mc Donald's Snack" time that they advertize on TV right now in the States. Who wants to eat a taco like thing for snacks? I'm sorry, but this should be against the law... LOL We have worse laws than that in the State anyway...
"Mulch what?"
No doubt. Nori/seaweed is the nastiest thing I have ever had in my life. I wouldnt feed it to my lawn!
Wait, this is a Top Story?
Note: I didn't say it wasn't news.
"Nori/seaweed is the nastiest thing I have ever had in my life."
QFT. Even the smell makes me retch.
You guys are on crack. Nori, especially from korea, is the most addictive snack there is. Go back to your potato farms!

At least crack tastes good.
@handles25 & mintsauce,
Please enlighten, but how did you folks have the nori? Plain by itself? With rolled sushi? Atop ramen?
Can't really see how nori offends you. Now if it's fresh seaweed or kelp, then that's another matter.
it looks like the lunchbox is packed with Rorschach ink-blot tests.
I dont need to psychoanalyse my snack platter.
I love seasoned seaweed snacks. Lucky kids! Well, I bet they never got Mario 3 spagetti-os.
I have had it plain, I have had it with sushi, and I think I once had it at the beach.
Even if you pan fry a shoe in garlic and butter it's still a shoe.
The only way I could enjoy it is if its not seaweed which in turn would make it not Nori.
So it's like a fruit roll-up...but seaweed. Worst fruit roll-up ever. :P
Onigiri by the way: a hand-grip sized ball of salted rice (round or flat-triangle shaped) with a filling inside (Pickled plums, or smoked fish, or pickles, anything salty really, or really anything you can think of... tuna salad.), with a little strip of seaweed stuck to it so you can hold it without getting rice all over your hands.
If you've watched some lousy anime localizations, they often call them 'doughnuts' (especially in Pokemon). So if you've ever gone "That doesn't look like a doughnut!" ... that's why. It's not ^^
