Sega (gawd bless 'em) just held their private arcade show in Tokyo. Once again proving that arcades are far from dead in Japan, the company previewed loads of upcoming cabinets. Standouts included:
- Let's Go Jungle!: A shooting game in which the guns are affixed to the cabinet. Players blast giant bugs and other beasts in some Southeast Asian jungle. The game is situated snug in a tacky jeep cabinet that boasts 5.1 channel surround sound and a widescreen display. After each round, the two players' compatibility is measured. How romantic.
- Outrun 2 Special Tours SDX: A huge 62-inch screen and a two-seater car-shaped cabinet that moves. Also perfect for dates! Or boy crushes! Regarding the two-seaters, drivers change throughout the game—if the car's hit, for example. There's a camera attached to the cabinet as well to capture player's reactions. Outrun the way it was meant to play.
There was also the assortment of *yawn* card-based titles. The Outrun and the Let's Go Jungle both look and sound fab. More of these please, Sega! Pics after the jump.
