Still shifting through the cold leftovers of Microsoft Japan's press conference, a coupla releases hit today. Here's the skinny:
First up, there's a release announcing an animated flick titled Karas. It took honors at this year's Tokyo International Animated Cartoon Fair. Folks can check out the first 18 minutes of this short in glorious HD for free on Xbox Marketplace. There's some chest thumping regarding the success Xbox Live is having in Japan.
The second release chats up Yoshiharu Gotanda, the talent responsible for Namco's popular RPG Tales of Phantasia — a game was based on a novel he wrote. He's currently the prez of Tri-Ace and will be working on an exclusive RPG for the 360. Gotanda will serve as producer, and the title will be released after Blue Ocean and Lost Odyssey. "I'm looking forward to producing a new type of RPG for the Xbox 360," says the producer.
