  • Wii Brain Softening Game? What's unique about this one as opposed to all those other brain softening games on the list? :)

  • The Wii line up looks very strong.

Looks like the Wii may end its drought with a torrential downpour

  • Japan doesn't have Yoshi's Island DS or Mario VS DK 2? That's... kind of odd.

  • Hmmm all I see is TBA for Wii games, lame.

Is brain softening another stupid brain trainer?

  • Donkey Kong Jet Race? Is that a cancelled Cube game come back to life?

  • Where is Custom Robo on the DS? That comes out in April!

  • @Throtex:

It's the console version of this.

  • @Blinside.

    Not made by Nintendo

  • Please bring the Ouendans to America, Nintendo. Pack the two together and call it "Crazy Shit from Japan: You May Know This Better as Elite Beat Agents."

I expect CSfJ:YMKTBaEBA to be announced any day now.

  • @Kyle81: well Nintendo already said and showed that they won't release their BIG titles at the same time so don't expect Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Metroid Prime 3 to come out all in the october, november, december months. Probably be close but I would say start to see those at the end of the summer. And they won't try to cannibalize their other titles so they will come out around or before/after they do.

  • @themunk: I second that, haha

  • Well I'd be a little more pleased if there were at least some quarter projections on those Wii releases, but I guess thats just their style. And just a personal FYI, I'd rather spend $50-$100 buying games in four consecutive quarters than spend $0 for two or three quarters and then drop $300-$400 to end the year. You know when Christmas rolls around I am going to have to spend some money on other people too.

  • Does anyone have any information on this "Archaic Sealed Heat" game? This is the first I've heard of it, and if it's Mistwalker, it's bound to be good.

  • What month is TBA in? I can't seem to find it on my calendar. I want to mark it since so many good games are coming out that day.

Seriously, the Wii draught sucks. Must find solace in my DS.

  • Panel De Pon is an amazingly addictive game. I have it as Tetris Attack for the SNES, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the GB, and just got it as Dr. Mario/Puzzle League for the GBA. God help me if it gets re-re-released with touch functionality for the DS.

  • @PhotoBoy: DK Bongo Blast, maybe?

  • Animal Corssing! Awesome!

Typo aside, I can't wait for the new Kirby game. I have a feeling that Kirby should stay in 2D, but who knows, Nintendo sometimes makes magic happen.

I'm also interested in DS Beautiful Characters (Letters) Training...My handwriting is terrible.

  • Need a better translated list in place of the babblefish translated one.

Archaic Sealed Heat was one of the first DS announced games. Quite a lot of gamers thought it was vaporware since the supposed real time images according to them couldn't be done on the DS. Nothing besides a few images were ever shown even though the game has been sixty percent complete since last october.

Wii Brain Softening is Wii Big Brain Academy.

Disaster is likely Disaster: Day of Crisis.

Panel De Pon is Tetris Attack.

You do know that Japanese DS games work on every DS since the DS is region free right? Also Best Buy does carry Ouendan so they will likely carry Ouendan 2 or will order it for you.

More Eigo Zuke I think Is English Training 2 which should be another million seller.

I do wish Nintendo would bring Brain Age 2 to the rest of the world.

It should do gangbusters in Europe.

  • There's a few games on both the DS and Wii lists that I'd be interested in.. Oh man, I need a new job.

  • Wow a big year. The next mario, metroid and super smash bros all in the same year. Something for everyone.

Im glad to see ASH, project hammer and disaster day of crisis are still coming. ASH had like 3 screenshots then dissappeared for ages, project hammer there have been like 2 short videos, and D:DoC has had a teaser with no in game and an insanely short gameplay clip in a overall 2007 lineup trailer.

  • I wish we have more cooperative games. Imagine how great it would be in metroid if we had the opportunity to go trough it as samus, or as two federation soldiers... maybe add in the story that the federation is starting to replicate some of the chozo technology, but as is it needs two soldiers to use the abilities . Maybe the morph ball areas could have an alternative passage that can only be opened with 2.. or each one carries half of a remote controlled ball... OOoooh, the possibilities. Yes nintendo, you can have my idea, for free. Just send me a free copy :)

  • The phrases "TBA" and "Sometime 2007" make me very, very sad.

    *pines for Animal Crossing*

  • Where is freaking Phantom Hourglass? I preorder it before my Wii!! Is it not coming out this year at all now? I thought it was coming in June?? WTF?

  • Er, um, I preorderED is before my Wii!

  • I wonder what they're doing do Super Paper Mario to justify the release date.

  • Im not too impressed with the Wii lineup. Super paper mario, galaxies, and SSB are OK, but if they dont get better 3rd party support, i can see the Wii's library making it the next GC.

and PLEASE hurry with phantom hourglass.

(a suprise paper mario DS would be nice too...)

  • s/is/it/

    I give up!

  • @Yuckee:
"# The Legend of Zelda DS Release TBA, Players TBA"

    I think that's Phantom Hourglass.

  • @_sean_

This is the list of games developed and created by Nintendo...this doesn't include 3rd party releases.

  • yay ouendan 2! Another game to import :)

  • @Yuckee: Phantom Hourglass was delayed to some time toward the end of 2007, last I heard.

Brain softening is a funny mistranslation. All those people who think playing games makes kids stupid? Well here's one that's designed to do just that! Sweet.

Ouendan 2?! Great news if this is true. I thought the first didn't do as well as hoped? Hmmm. Also, the first one wasn't actually a 'Nintendo' game, was it, or am I remembering wrong... (EBA was.)

Not much else exciting that we didn't already know about.

  • DS lineup looks sweet! And having Ouendan 2 is great!! Can't wait, even though I'm still playing through the first game. :D

  • I suck so much at Ouendan. :( I start out strong then for some reason I just lose it. Sigh. I like it better than Elite Beat Agents though. The music tickles me more cuz I haven't heard them before. Too bad it's not in English though. The Japanese I took in college isn't good enough to understand a lot of the game.

  • Ouendan 2 YES!

  • I know not this Animal Corssing you speak of. :P

  • Is it Ouendan 2 or a Japanese release of EBA?

  • Anyone else notice that SSB is listed as "TBA" and not "1-4" for the number of players?

  • Animal Crossing is bittersweet to me. Animal Crossing is so labor intensive. You guys get that? I liked it better on a handheld because I could take it around with me. But if I get home late one night, just turning the Wii on to be sure no one is going to yell at me? Hmm. You guys have that problem?

  • is animal crossing going to be on wii?

  • the latest round of "Wii would like to play" commercials have featured Corruption gameplay footage. I'm guessing late May.

  • I am surprised no one has mentioned Totsugeki Famicom Wars W(ii). I am expecting this game to bring the depth of an RTS to the Wii party game based lineup and also make good use of the controller through the FPS elements.

  • What's with all the "sometime in 2007" BS? This ain't no schedule it's a tease. Might as well say, "Sometime in the next ten years".

  • @PhotoBoy: i was going to say DK bongo blast but someone beat me to it...

anyways... this post got me really really excited and then quickly dashed my hopes.... What here don't we already know? maybe if it had some actually hard dates (i'm looking at you SSBB, MP3, and MG) i would be happier.... but it doesn't so i'm not.

  • Wow ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat sounds really, really good! My fingers are crossed.

  • "Brain softening is a funny mistranslation."

Is that a mistranslation? I think of it more as a cultural divide. There, if your brain is softer, it is smarter. Here, the game's idea is to make your brain bigger. Maybe in Japan they think that a bigger brain means it's more likely to be damaged, and a soft brain is more malleable. ;)

Nevertheless, definitely some gold in there.

  • I've been dreaming and hoping for a version of Tetris Attack (Panel De Pon in Japan) to come out for the DS, Wii, or VC. For those that don't know, Tetris Attack was not another crappy Tetris clone. It was in fact the greatest puzzle game ever made, and I can say that without the slightest hint of hyperbole. It is still my favorite game of all time. I discovered it near the end of the life of the SNES and played it regularly for the next 7 years. I have been desperate for a portable version. There was one for the GameBoy but the screen was too small and it limited the gameplay. Meteos and Pokemon: Troze for the DS had similar ideas, but nothing compares to the original.

    History of the game:
Panel De Pon SNES Japan - starring cutesy anime girls
Tetris Attack SNES US - same game staring Yoshi and characters from Yoshi's Island
Pokemon Pussle Challenge Gameboy Color - starring pokemon
Pokemon Puzzle league - Nintendo64 - starring pokemon and a somewhat interesting 3D mode.

  • Unfortunately, I doubt we will be seeing Smash Bros in 2007. I would absolutely love Nintendo to prove me wrong, but I just don't see it, unless Metroid comes out in May, and Mario comes out in September... and that seems unlikely to me. Nintendo needs a big title to counterpunch Halo 3, though, so hopefully they'll find a way to get it out by the end of the year. Keep in mind, by the end of 2007, Smash will have only been in development for 2 years (they started October 2005), and a game like Smash just needs more time.

  • Hoshi no Kirby?!?!?! Is that the Kirby gamecube game that totally disappeared after E3 2005? Oh god I hope so. Four player platforming kirby adventure looked amazing!!!

I was so sad when I couldn't find any more info about it.

  • @itcomesinwaves:

There's a few more games in the series you may not know about:

-Panel De Pon for Super Famicom
    -Tetris Attack for SNES
    -Yoshi No Panepon for GB
    -Tetris Attack for GB
    -Pokemon Puzzle League for N64
    -Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for GBC
-Nintendo Puzzle Collection for Gamecube (best version available IMO)
-Dr. Mario/Puzzle League for GBA (best portable version, however it doesn't have any Yoshi/Panepon characters :S )

    Check em out!

I can't wait for the DS version! XD

  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl Sometime 2007, Players TBA

    GAHHHHHHHHH

  • Sometime 2007 isn't very informative.

  • Looks like a great lineup.

  • For all those Gaijin out there:
"Hoshi no Kirby" = Kirby's Star

  • @itcomesinwaves: I'll be excited for a new Tetris Attack only if there's online play.

  • Ouendan -> best game I played in 2005

Elite Beat Agents (aka USA Ouendan) -> best game I played in 2006

Ouendan 2 -> I may have to fly to Japan just so I can buy it on launch day...

  • Panel De Pon DS!!! SEND IT OVER SEND IT OVER SEND IT OVER!!!

  • Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race

    wait... what???
