Thankfully, Gamasutra got to the Eurogamer links before stories about God of War 2, Gran Turismo 4 Online Edition and information about Killzone PSP were replaced with the following: "The information that previously appeared here has been removed under the threat of legal action from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe."
The stories allegedly came from "leaked marketing documentation" and indicated that Kratos is back and God of War 2 will be released stateside in February 2007 for the PlayStation 2 with a European release soon to follow. According to the documents, Gran Turismo 4 Online Edition will be released in the second quarter of this year and feature six player online play, worldwide rankings and replay upload options. The usual fleet of cars will be there, this time around 700 vehicles with 50 tracks to race on. We mentioned the Killzone details earlier this morning.
Thanks, Superatt

The big question is why they'd be releasing a PS2 game almost a year after the PS3 is out. Unless, of course, it might not be coming out as soon as they are claiming... ::cough::
But what about Gran Turismo Mobile? PLEASE! oh god please....i needs Gran Turismo on my PSP...
Well, that's one way of confirming that a leak is genuine!
Simple economics. By Februaru 2007 not that many people will have the PS3 (assuming it is even released by then). The market for PS2 games will still be enormous, if not as large as it was at its peak. No reason NOT to put a God of War game for the PS2, actually.
It'd be interesting if this was true. David Jaffe has stated repeatedly that no God of War sequel is currently in the works and he's busy with a PSP project. And if he's not involved I'm not interested. Also, all of the info in that "leak" could've been found by anyone who finished the game.
Sony will do whatever they can to make the ps2 lifecycle longer because each ps2 must cost them now approx 20$ to build (ok, more or less 50$ ;)... they will loose money with the ps3 so why urging now since the 360 are still rare on the shelves?
