I wish they would have just waited and learned the Cell + GPU processing development tools better and brought this to the PS3. That would be so awsome!!!

Trailer sucks. I mean, the game itself looks fanfuckingtastic, but the trailer felt kind of lame. Kind of shame that it's games like these that leave me uncompelled to get a PS3 and leave me sticking to my PS2.

Why would anyone make a game for ps2? Lets see there are like 120 million ps2s and a little over a million ps3s, 10 million 360s, and 4 million wiis. It's not completely stupid to make something for ps2 unless it's a triple A title and your starting development now.

Not making this a PS3 exclusive may have been Sony's biggest blunder in this war. I loved God of War so much that I may have purchased a PS3 just for this game. Oh well, now I dont have to.

I'm happy this game isn't coming to the PS3. If it came to the PS3, I'd have to shell out for one for it's limited selection of games. Honestly, there is no reason to purchase a PS3 with the lack of variety that's currently available for the console.

You know games are mainstream when they start using that particular voice-over guy.

Come to that, if they could just lengthen that clip for another 80 minutes or so, it would be a pretty awesome movie.

I rented this game for the first time a few days ago. It was ok, but the camera was annoying.

Shadow of the Colossus is way better. I feel like I control the character on giants, not hit the sequence in correct order to pull off big moves..

You're absolutely right on Sony making a mistake by not making this PS3-exclusive.

However, I think Nintendo made a similar mistake with Zelda.

Don't get me wrong, Twilight Princess is incredible (I'm playing through it right now). But having secured the Gamecube version, I'm a little surprised to find that the Wii completely lacks appeal for me now.

I was really pumped for the Wii, initially. But what would I play for it now? Maybe when Mario comes out, I'll feel the urge again.

I played GC TP and switched to Wii after the water dungen. I'm all jacked up with the mirroring and I can honestly say the GC version controls better.

All that being said im going to stick with the Wii version.

I cant wait for GOW2!

oh man oh man oh man, I really wish that this was somehow going to come out for 360 (pipe dream i kno) i played the 1st on my roomates PS2 and it was one of the best games I've ever played. The 2nd only looks better. Some sweet armor this time around too. I just wonder if they make him give up god status, otherwise its gonna be really hard to die...just sayin

I was shocked when I herd GOW was coming out o the ps2 then the ps3. In some of the content you can unlock they talk about the 2nd GOW and how they are thinking next gen because of the new things they would like to try.

PS. Does anyone every get GOW "God of War" & GOW "Gears of War" mixed up everytime you read a head line?

I think I can safely assume this will kick ass, so if Crystal Dynamics get Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition right as well then the PS2 should be getting a fine end.

I'm glad I didn't get rid of my PS2. It will be the first time I've drug it out in over a year. I actually am damn eager to play this game. Honestly, I think it looks better than the current PS3 offerings. What's with that?

I'm glad I haven't gotten rid of my PS2. This game will definitely bring it out of retirement after a year long hiatus. Is it me or does this look quite a bit more impressive than any of the current PS3 offerings? Why is that?

This is off topic, but, it seems to me since new systems are always littered with last-gen ports anyway, how come they haven't made PS3 ports of some of the more "epic" PS2 games yet? A next-gen version of Shadow of the Colossus would definitely help sell PS3s, I'd think. Ditto for GoW. These are first (or second) party games, Sony. The ball is in your court.

I look forward to GOW 2... I'm also looking forward to GOW 3 for the PS3 in a few years...

im glad they left david jaffe alone and let him develop this game on whatever console he wanted instead of forcing a badly made ps3 exclusive...god of war3 and shadow of the colossus 2 will be ps3 exclusives anyway.
