A little over a year ago when the Xbox 360 launched, there were reports of buggy consoles. I had no probs whatsoever. That is, until recently. One of few sold on Japan's launch day, my Xbox 360 is a rarity. And it's now crapped out. Things started in late December, during a game of Blue Dragon. The game froze up. Isolated incident, so I wrote it off. But then the freezing came in shorter intervals. First every hour, then every thirty minutes, and now every ten minutes. From Gears of War to Call of Duty 3 to Halo and Ridge Racer 6, it doesn't matter what game I run. No red ring of death, but the constant freezing-up makes the unit unplayable and frustrating. As I mentioned I don't think I've got a buggy machine, but do wonder about the machine's planned obsolesce. Has anyone else been having similar issues with year-old consoles? Or just me? Interested in knowing how broken-in machines are holding up. Since today's a national holiday here, I'm going to call Xbox Japan's Support Center and get it serviced. Hope this isn't a ploy to get early adaptors like me to shell out for that rumored Xbox 360 v2.0. Brian Ashcraft
