Leave it to CheapyD to find new, sealed and dirt-ass cheap 360 titles. A Japanese game shop is selling Kameo, PGR 3, FIFA: Road to the World Cup, Madden 06, King Kong, Tiger Woods 06, Need for Speed Underground and NBA Live 06 for the bargain basement price of 500 yen (US $4.27) a pop. Cheapy points out:
This is not evidence of the Xbox 360 failing in Japan! These are the North American versions of the games which won't work on a Japanese 360... That's got to be the cheapest price anywhere new or used. And I would know.
That's right. He would. These cheap-ass games are on sale at AsoBitCity in Akihabara in the import games section.

Can you say "Pirated Copies"
Feel like getting some for the nice reader, Ashcraft?
How much IS shipping from Japan, anyway?
Do they have pirated copies of Xbox360 games anywhere? I don't think they do. I mean, is it possible?
So who do we talk to about working out a deal on buying a few of those and shipping them my direction? Ashcraft...? :)
Agreed. Why not set up a little import-re-import shop for us?
Fletch?
$4.27 for Kameo!?! That's highway robbery.
Yeah, I'm confused as what word 'Fletch' is supposed to be. Is it 'Fetch'? 'Filch'? 'Fletch Lives'?
Unless there are arrows in this story I'm unaware of.
Shipping from Japan generally costs about $12 USD when using EMS(for about 1-3 games).
Umm...why in the hell would Japanese Otaku want to play an NBA game? Color me stupid, but it makes about as much sense as a Japanese baseball game featuring the Osaka Tigers being released in America. The "Why should I care" factor would be very high.
That's pretty much true, I buy alot of games (NA version of course) and books from Yahoo Auctions Japan via Mailorderjapan.com and their really cheap. I bought my Oblivion 360 collectors ed. for $10 along with Kameo for $6 and PDZero for another $10, thats $26 plus $20 EMS shipping and other charges for a total of $46. Not bad for three games, you cant get it that cheap at your local gamestop :)
All you need is google translate and a paypal account and your ready to go.
This has all the elements of a "Kramer and Newman go cross-country to recycle bottles" scheme. Someone will surely break down the costs of traveling to this vending machine and work out a way to make the trip cost effective in the end.
How about setting up shop for "Kotaku Imports" 10 bucks a game + shipping should be fair.
I'd play a game about the Hanshin Tigers.
I thaught that some Xbox 360 titles were region free. So perhaps these are real copies and CAN be played.
Meanwhile, Dead Rising (US Version), which *is* region free, costs 8,400 JPY in Akihabara.
However, there are some cheap finds for Japanese 360 games. I got DOA4 for 2000 Yen, eM for 3000 yen, and Riiiiiiiidge Racerrrrr for free (with purchase of the system).
